Any battlefield vets getting Brink?

Post » Fri May 13, 2011 11:45 am

I've been playing battlefield since 1942 and am a huge fan of the series, that being said I know Brink is not very similar to battlefield. Still BC2 is drying up for me (after 600+ hours) and this game looks fantastic, should be able to hold me over to BF3 if it plays half as good as it looks too. I hope that its so good that even with BF3 out, i have trouble picking what game to play. Anyways, if any players know how to play fps as a team its BF players, that being said I was seeing if any other vets are switching over for the time being. Im on 360, level 50 in BC2, i used to play a lot of CS prior to source, and I def know good fps. really just looking for a few mature (idk im 22), people to play with in case most my friends list skips this one (hopefully not), and would rather draw from the battlefield community than any other. Doesn't hurt if you like to rage headz too :D. Eventually, if I posses any sort of skill with this game and its as good as it looks, me and my buddies will prob get a clan going but idk thats remained to be seen. A whole lot depends on the game, im getting tmrw so ill be on first day.

Hate to nag, but shouldn't this really be in community discussion? Very little to do with Brink.

and heres to hoping that Brinks release goes a trillion times better than New Vegas! (great game but bugs were horrendous for quite some time even after release, and even a recent patch made the game unplayable before it was corrected, yet once again.)

I have not played the early games in the Battlefield series, but I enjoyed playing Battlefield 2142 for several years before moving on to Battlefield: Bad Company 2 in which I have spent my best gaming experiences so far. Bad Company 2 will still be my primary game, but Brink will allow me to add a bit more variety into my gaming life. Looking forward to it. :)

Hate to nag,

No you obviously dont "hate to nag". Yes I am too a battlefield junkie who is planning on purchasing, playing and enjoying the game BRINK. Because the game BRINK looks like it has much to offer us battlefield vets. BRINK is similar to Battlefield in that teamplay is crucial. I am in a battleifield clan and none of my clanmates are exited about BRINK. So whoever wants to add me on PSN [someday] that would be stellar and completely righteous in my book. I Have a mic and lust for victorious oriented teamplay.

For sure, I think a lot of BF vets will be trying this game out because of the team aspect of it. I know that's why I'm here.

Been playing the BF series since 1942 all the way through 2142. I tried Battlefield Bad Company series, but I missed the team play aspect BF brought to the table. Sadly my comp is not up to date enough to play BRINK, so I am hoping the 360 version is up to par. If only BRINK had vehicles to add a layer of strategy....oh well....parkour will be that added layer. Is it tomorrow yet?
