Any chance we'll see this as an Xbox Live download?

Well, like a lot of people I am going through some of the earlier Elder Scrolls games in anticipation of Skyrim. It seems new copies of the Morrowind GOTY edition for Xbox are scarce and going for over $100. Any chance Bethesda will release this as a download available from Xbox live? I don't really understand why it isn't already, Oblivion and its expansions are and the game is backwards compatible. Heck they might even be able to optimize it and do away with some of the lag issues.

Anyone else interested in something like this or know why it isn't a possibility?

This is one of those subjects that pops up a lot, but I don't recall any real explanation given (Or even offered)

Seems like the sort of thing that could be possible.

Y'know Steam has the PC version.

But I don't know why either. Are any XBOX (non 360) games available on Live...even ones that got emulated like MW did?

I prefer playing on the console. Not really interested in all the mods, I am playing through the series to appreciate it how it has evolved. Currently 80% of the way through Arena, so even the base Morrowind graphics are gonna seem great after I get through Daggerfall.

There are a bunch of big titles that are available through Xbox Games on Demand.

Certainly seems possible.
