Any city you don′t want to vist?

Skingrad. Never liked the layout. Without constantly referencing the map, I always seem to get turned around in there.

It's not so difficult. Imagine the city as a circle, with the Gold Road and the two bridges inside acting as it's diameter, cutting the city in half.

I feel a bit the same, but it does have an interesting architecture :)

Yes you are right there, I like the architecture in all the oblivion cities.
In real life its also a minor hobby of mine, I personally just felt skingrad lacked flesh against places such as Anvil.
It reminded me of whitby on the NE coast of england, if it was placed where leyawiin or anvil had been but still on mountainous / craggy landscape overlooking the ocean.
I would say it then would have had more charm for me, plus basing skingrad on there would be a nice reference to dracula.

I LOVE Leyawiin. It reminds me of New Orleans. The race relations, the architecture, the landscape. I just wish it was more lively and festive. I turn corners expecting to run into mardi gras, or voodoo shamans doing street magic, or jazz music, or shrimp boils... I just love the Southern charm.

Bravil isn't so bad either. It definitely has a slum feel to it, but that has some sort of sick appeal to me, same with the IC waterfront.

Chorrol and Anvil are only one step below Leyawiin and Bravil for me. Chorrol feels like a medieval autumn hunting retreat, which is great because my character is usually very woodsy and folksy. Anvil, while kind of dead feeling, has the waterfront which is worth the trip for me.

Cheydinhal and the IC would be middle tier. I really dont ever have the urge to go to Cheydinhal. It is kind of meh... And if it wasnt for the copious coinpurse, I would never enter the walls of the IC.

Skingrad would be lower on the list. I dont really care much for the big city feel, especially when it seems like there are more guards than inhabitants. Just doesnt feel right.

I hate Bruma with all the passion I could have for a game. BORING landscape, uninteresting people, and a claustrophobic feel. A couple of underdressed nords standing in the middle of a blizzard just does not interest me in the slightest.

Linara is currently on her 'Cities of Cyrodiil' tour, to get recommendations from the Mages Guild. I haven't visited Bruma or Cheydinhal yet, in her game, but I really didn't like the Skingrad layout. I like the architecture, but the grey stone and fog thing gets to me after a while.

I have a two-fold answer for that:
Personally, I find Bravil the least interesting of all. Leyawinn is not much interesting too, but Bravil takes the cake (for their looks, environment, etc...).

As for the character I was rp-ing, the city she hates most is the IC. So in her ultimate plan to overthrow the Tyranny she may actually start there (if possible) and then try that of the Blades temple. Afterwards, proceed to the rulers of ALL other cities (for their allegiance to the tyrants), leaving the one with the bloodthirsty count at last (i dont remmeber which one it is)..

Bravil is a dirty cesspool, filled with beggars and skooma svckers.
Leyawiin is just really grey and dull. The countess is a racist cow too.

Ya for sure. And the Count has good inside of him but he's too much of a coward to stand up to his younger wife.

I don't understand why everyone hates Bravil, its so unique!
My least favourite would have to be Cheydinhal, there's nothing wrong with it, its just a bit boring, and there is no 'poor' district, the whole city is upper class. I think they could of have done a lot better with Cheydinhal.
I love Chorrol, but the Lore of it annoys me, people brag about the mines and sheep farms in County Chorrol, yet there's none of the latter, and hardly any of the former.

Oh, I forgot to mention New Sheoth, I hate that place.

Gregreo's least favorite city is Bravil because of a painful childhood he's had there.

His most favorite? Depends. It's either Bruma, Chorrol, or Skingrad. The rest are okay in his books.

I don't think Bravil is so bad. It reminds me of a waterside shanty town. In my younger days I had many interesting... adventures... in such a place.

Least favorite. Not one of the cities, so much as one of the towns.

Hackdirt.

Don't you just want to take a torch to it and purge Tamriel of it's dark presence and creepy residents?

Oh, wait... yea, thats right... the Imperials already did that once...

sorry to be unoriginal, but my least favorate, bravil. I also don't like IC so much because it is overwrought but seems strangely underpopulated. There's probably several miles of sewer per citizen. How is that necessary? I also don't like all the loading I have to put up with to walk through the city. The waterfront is okay though. I like to mess with the pirates and get them worked up.

favorite--bruma. I like the chill air and the cozy fires. It's small but not too small that it doesn't have an underbelly. I don't have any nord characters, but my main two characters feel comfortable in nord society. Nords are a practical and proud people even if they are a bunch of drunks.

I barely ever go to Cheydinhal or Leyawiin.

I just hate those cities for some reason.

I agree, they are so hostile there. They should welcome people to help them rebuild their town instead of thinking that everyone wants to destroy it

I despise Bruma and Leyawiin.

Bruma has an ugly guard uniform (it's so bright and atrocious!) and Leyawiin has a racist for a countess, not to mention it's just plain old boring.

Also Bruma is cold. My dude is a Dremore (He wears a hood so noone can tell he is Daedric, also his hood is enchanted to hide his horns :hehe:)

He's used to the hot temperatures of Oblivion, so Bruma is.... shocking to say the least.

Imagine plunging your hand into ice cold water after having it infront of a heater for a few minutes. That's what Bruma feels like.

Also, in real life, I dislike snowy/arctic places.

Leyawiin. I hate the swampiness, and the fact that it's waaaaaay down south, and the fact that IT NEVER STOPS RAINING. And, I actually kinda like Bravil... I mean, it's not my favorite, but I can stand it. Only thing I don't like is the Count. Plus, it's the only actual city that has a shop dedicated to archers. And I use bows a lot.
