Any city you don′t want to vist?

Post » Fri Jul 09, 2010 12:46 pm

I was just wondering, there have been a few threads about favourite cities but what I wanna know, is there one that you really dislike?
Personally I like them all but for some reason I′m not comfortable in Cheydinhal and that surprises me. It′s a nice city but I can′t seem to find peace there. Maybe it′s because of the Dark....oh no :bolt:

Edit: Yes I know I spelled "visit" wrong in the headline

Nope, my char likes 'em all. She belongs to the guild of mages and loves visiting and staying with them when she is in the different cities. She is most comfortable in Bravil, Anvil and the Imperial City though.

Bravil's a hole, as the NPCs will tell you too. I don't mind Leyawiin since my usual "home" is the Knights of the White Stallion hunting shack, and I sell goods/get repairs at "The Dividing Line" in town.

Although I respect Count Hassildor, I never really liked the layout of Skingrad.
Anvil's a nice town overall.

My current Character is a Assassin-who-hates vampires. He was so glad in the Dark Brotherhood quest. Many failed attempts to kill counts... especially Skingrad's count, infact. I was so close to assassinating him, I also try to kill the countess of Leyawiin. Oh and Bravil is a pigstein to me, but my character loves its darkness.

Leyawiin. Because it's waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay down there man.. The only reason I go near it, is for Rockmilk Cave.

For some reason, I don't like Bruma. I think it's because Better Cities mod makes me lag every time it's snowing there which means pretty much always. I haven't been to Leyawiin that much, but that would be my number 2 I think. It's just too damp.

Bravil and Leyawiin :3

I love going to Kvatch.. standing in the centre of the city, staring at the castle while laughing as the Daedra slowly take over Cyrodiil.

Spoiler
.. too bad I've completed the main quest and destroyed the gates to Oblivion :(

My least favorite is Leyawiin. It has a racist Countess, some of my least favorite quests and is a bit farther than I like to travel. The only good thing anywhere near it (imo) is Rockmilk Cave. And that's not much incentive after a while.

my least favorite would be Kvatch. But out of the functioning citites, I would say Bravil. Just because it is the least visually appealing. Sort of a slum/shanty town.

Bravil, Cheydinhal and Leyawiin, although some of the best rural landscapes in the game imo are around those latter two.

I must say, the city I spend the least time in has to be Leyawin. It is just too far out of the way in my opinion.

I do not spend much time in Cheydinhal. BC makes it really pretty, but there is not much there for my PC...not to mention the FPS drops...

I liked Anvil when I first started playing Oblivion because, IMO it has one of the neatest purchasable home layouts. I also liked Leyawiin because of all the huge houses with lots of space, until I went to buy one. I also found out, I didn't like traveling to way out of the way places too frequently. So it's not that I don't want to ever visit them, but I guess my least favorite cities are Anvil and Leyawiin. Only because they're not very central. The IC makes for a much better central network for a guild of thieves. ;)

Edit: I just realized there is one city that I would never want to visit and that's Crucible. Okay layout, but needs a HUGE cleanup.

Chorrol. Fairly generic town to me. It's not bad, but it is dull. Very ho-hum. :snoring:
