Any extra incentive to play this weekend's beta?

Post » Tue Mar 11, 2014 6:41 pm

I couldn't find any information, and since I won't receive a new email invite, since I got one last time, I'm wondering if anyone knows if they're offering any reward to log in and stress test the servers this time.

I'm probably not going to bother with this beta test unless there's a pet or some extra perk to pick up. I just don't see the point in play for a few days, when I'm going to start over again in another 3 weeks.

If you contribute to stress-testing the server, your reward will be a feeling of satisfaction from knowing that you contributed to the stability of the game once it launches.

What more reward does anyone need?

I did that last time... don't feel like wasting my free-time to do it again. One lesson my grandpa taught me that I've always remembered is "Never work for free."

Why wouldn't you receive a new invite? They generally send them every time. The info (dates, times and other details) for each test is different.

There might be an incentive; we don't know yet. Invites haven't gone out

I guess your grandpa didn't believe in volunteering to make the world a better place, eh? Helping to make a better product at launch does not appeal to you?

There are masses of changes, but if you mean new areas, we don't know yet... check the test goals when you get your invite

They at least could tell us is it just US or both.. not that it matters that much.

And you know as well as I know and all those that know mmo launches know that even if you do loads and loads and loads of Stress tests..

I ain't like the real deal hits the fan.

RIP all those little server hamsters that have died in MMO Launch events.

Give the man a break... he fought in a world war and lived through the Great Depression. :-P

Free, as in the sense of money? Do you 'work' for free if you get 'paid' with a more stable game client? ;)

You mean aside from being able to play the game again? For many that's incentive enough.

I don't think there is and additional sweetener - not that there should be. I'll be missing it sadly as I'm away, and I empathise with the point about not getting too invested only to have to start over again too :D
