Any fix coming soon for campaign on xbox?

Post » Sat Mar 09, 2013 5:04 pm

I've looked everywhere and don't seem to be able to find an answer on this.
I'm playing the game on supersoldier difficulty and I'm on the final level against the Alpha Ceph - we all know of the crashing issues.

I have made it to the checkpoint after shooting the second set of the three kill points - however every time it loads up I can only get a minute or so's game play before it crashes - or, if I pull up the visor and go back to weapon mode, my weapon won't pull up.

I know these issues are on the radar of the players - but are we expecting a patch/fix for the 360 any time soon?

I've basically bought a game that I can't complete and it's ruining my experience of Crysis. If this were any other walk of life and I'd bought a product that doesn't do what it's supposed to do, not only would I get a refund - but the company would be rightfully chastised too.

Can anyone tell me what's happening?

Thanks :)

Hi all,

We are aware of and investigating the following issues, with an aim to include fixes for them in any future patches:

Missing dog tags and skill assessments after Patch 1.1
Crashes during the final boss fight in SP
Issues with being unable to unlock everything for 100% completion in SP
Ability to specify ADS sensitivity compared to hipfire sensitivity (PC Only)
Laser + Extended Magazine not working for all weapons
Cloak visibility differences between levels
General weapon and module balancing
Further Anti Cheat improvements
Host Migration and Matchmaking improvements
Jackal + Laser sight causing an animation glitch when firing whilst moving
Disc image on X360 is incorrect on X360 dashboard
Further CVARS available to Dedicated Servers to allow ranked matches with higher timelimits and score limits
AMD specific driver issue fixes
Crashing when transitioning from SP -> MP when in an X360 LIVE party and someone is using voice comms.

Due to nature of development, fixes for these issues cannot be guaranteed

This is not an exhaustive list or the final list, more will be added as I receive confirmation from other members of the development team that they are investigating specific issues.

It's being investigated as far as i am concerned, i am not sure when the fix comes out though.

Thanks for your reply. The above statement concerns me.
Can't guarantee a fix that will allow players to complete the game? Good job!

I think they will fix that particular issue.
The real questionability(i think i just created that word) that arise are concerning the multiplayer i reckon, such as matchmaking improvements and other multiplayer related issues.

Good shout

It's frustrating for me as I'm the sort of player who loves to immerse himself in the story and enjoy the challenge of the SP campaign before trying MP. But hearing about the current issues with MP makes me want to open Tomb Raider early instead of getting another few weeks enjoyment out of this.

I'm almost as disappointed now as I was when I first completed Mass Effect 3!

What I can tell you is that the same thing happend to me. Reloading from checkpoint will continue to re-freeze because your savegame evidently corrupted. This did happen to me so I re-started the entire Chapter 7 from "Replay Mission", replayed it and yes had to re-fight and beat the Alpha Ceph, but this time no freeze-up after the VTOL cutscene and went on normally to the next part and finished the game - and got the 35GP for completing the game.

It will do you no good to save the current frozen checkpoint so go ahead an replay the mission and you have a great chance of everything being normal. This has helped a lot of people finish the game. Hope it helps you too.

I'll give that a try - thanks. Bit of a pain but hopefully it'll resolve!
