Any good, free webhosts out there?

I've been browsing around for a free webhost to test out a piece of javascript I've been working on. Google searching turns up several results, obviously, but I get the impression all the review sites and top lists I've been seeing aren't being completely honest. So I figured it'd be a good idea to see if anyone here has any experience with free webhosts and knows which ones are good and which ones are crap. I'm looking for something fairly simple. I don't really care about sitebuilder functionality as I have my own code thrown together already. Filesize and total webspace isn't much of a concern either. However I would like something that gives me a fairly short URL base to work with so I don't end up with mypage.theawesomestfreewebhostouttherethatyouwilleverfind.com.

No, a good free webhost isn't a thing. If you're just testing things out yourself, however, you can open them locally - go to file=>open and navigate to your file. If you want to test out serverside scripting you can install a webserver on your local PC and use that.
