any good movie suggestions?

Post » Sat Apr 02, 2011 1:21 am

Hey, just wondering if you guys and girls have any good movie suggestions. I'm going to be sitting here for the next little while playing video games, sippin' on some Corona, and in a bit I want to watch a movie.

I like anything with a good story, but it has to have some comedy or action in it to keep me interested. some of the ones I've seen recently(not necessarily new, just recently watched) are Salt, Inception, the road, 28 weeks later, and a bunch of others I won't remember until you suggest them, lol...

anyway, suggest away.... time is short. please don't start arguing or flaming eachother over personal preferences. that's not what this is for.

The Girl Who Leapt Through Time (時をかける少女 Toki o Kakeru Shōjo?) is a 2006 Japanese animated science fiction/romance film.

I was looking for something more... action-y. and I'm not really into animated films.

Guess that rules out Sword of the Stranger then... a shame, because it's a really good movie.

Have you seen Taken yet? That one was pretty good.

yeah, Taken was pretty good. no offense on animated films, it's just I'm with a friend and I doubt she wants to watch anything like that...

How about http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bad_Boys_%281995_film%29, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zombieland, or http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Man_on_Fire_%282004_film%29? Bad Boys and Zombieland have both comedy and action while Man on Fire is action but in my opinion, a good "serious" story to it.

this is true. thanks for the list. at first I thought it was based on critics reviews, and i was like "noooooo" but then I noticed it was based on votes. thanks again....

now I just have to pick one, which I'm terrible at...

How about http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bad_Boys_%281995_film%29, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zombieland, or http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Man_on_Fire_%282004_film%29?

all good movies, and unfortunately all ones I've seen....

is it appropriate for a young girl to watch(she's not my girlfriend or anything, just my roommates sister)? I can't really get rid of her. it was her idea to watch a movie...

i know, and its one of my favorite movies ever.

To the OP- if you liked Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, you will love snatch.

it starts a bit slow though, slow but funny.

it was one of the very few movies where i was actually on the edge of my seat wondering how things would work out, And the Main Antagonist is just so great.

depends how young, there are some boobs in 2 scenes, on is a flash back that takes place in a strip club (the scene lasts about 20 seconds, and boobs are visible for about 10)

the next is just for a second when it shows some nvde playing cards.

there is also alot of cursing.

16. she'll watch gory horror movies, but I don't want to be sitting in the room with her if there's like six scenes and stuff. she's just a friend, one of my best friends is her brother, so I wouldn't want to get on either ones badside....

She probably wont like, or get it, but who cares. Watch it for yourself. better than having to watch Twilight with her or something.
