I'm at my wits end here, i don't even know where to post this. No matter what i do i can't seem to get the game to go past the beginning cut scene where you start on the submarine, the text appears on the screen and the second the sub moves into view the game freezes. Ive tried with the patch without the patch, with and without run as admin, Ive tried running in xp compatibility mode, Ive even tried turning off my network connection and virus protection. The video card drivers have been updated then reverted to the last non beta version, i can't even remember the rest of the stuff Ive tried, the point is it's not working. What's worse is the game worked sort of the day before, till i found out that it wasn't saving my game at all (might have been due to the fact that my virus program was running it in a sandbox mode. The game freezing isn't the only problem, after it freezes it allows me to alt-tab to the desktop, but the games sound can still be heard. The only thing i can do next to stop it is mute my sound or end the process in the task manager, which closes the window but causes a whole new problem, the Crysis2.exe process won't shut off at all no matter how many times i try to kill the process it just stays on using more and more ram by the hour, it won't even let me turn my system off, it just hangs at the shutting down screen. I have to cut the power or long press on the power button to get it to shut down. Ive tried searching the forums but i seem to be alone with this problem, so if anyone can help or has some suggestions I'd appreciate it, Thanks.
