Any Hidden Object?

Post » Wed Dec 29, 2010 2:39 pm

So far I haven't seen or heard anything about this, but will there be any hidden objects in Brink that you'll have to find or not? Like gold in Bad Company 1, anyone know as of yet?

Well they wouldn't be hidden if they told us about them, would they? But probably not.

I'll imagine there will be SOME easter eggs, possibly funny tags or signs around the city. In MAG there's a dumpster company called "Raccoon's Buffet" and they have their logo sprayed onto all the dumpsters.

It's confirmed that there are audio logs on every level to find.

In one of the recent interviews with Ed Stern I believe he said that the audio logs are unlockably with XP. Of course that doesn't exclude that you could find them in-game but it does make a bit more sense to not have players running around looking for such things during a time based objective rush. I could be mistaken though :)

Good, If XP unlocks them I won't have to distract my self to do a stupid find dat item quest~! (generally because they are generally linked to achievements)
Seriously, Why do companies insist on always putting in some form of "Seek and find this item!" That usually distracts you from the story
just to find the item(s).

Well there is only an achievement for audio logs. So if they are now unlocked by xp, I doubt there will be any others.

Everyone here has a great hypothesis but sadly at the moment.
Your logic will be flawed until the games actual release

I doubt there will be hidden "collectables" of any kind, because Brink is meant to feel like multiplayer all the way through, and multiplayer VERY rarely supports such things.

It probably will have hidden little corners with funny/silly/weird/cool/intriguing things in them though - for the players who take time to look for them.

Ironicly i was mugged by a teenage mutant ninja turtle, but he didn't have his mask on, so I don't know which one he was.(irony followed by more irony....oh the irony....)

As for graffiti, the only I know about would be little statements written in like all the languages around the Ark, (to show off it multicultural ways), and maybe they'll have some hidden clues written in Spanish or another language.
