Any information on the Khajiit and Argonians yet?

Didn't they hold back on showing pics of argonians and khajiit for a long time back before Oblivion as well? ANyhow, The way I see it they probably are putting a lot of work into them to and want to save them to have something to blow us away with later on ^^

No idea...since the first screens of Oblivion I saw were in the german "PcGames" magazine and they already had a close up screen of a female Khajiit.

I hope the Argonians have the same attitude in this one as they did in Oblivion :)

PS: Nice avatar pic Zaria, who did the artwork? "Kahjiit likes the artwork"

I honestly stole it, somebody used it in a forum long time ago and I saved it to disk because it looked cool. Found I should use it as avatar as I’m currently playing an Khajiit in Oblivion and a very happy Khajiit would be a nice way to celebrate that Skyrim is coming.

I really hope the beast races are more Morrowind based, and that we can have white Khajiits

I actually like it much more the way they are in Oblivion. I hope we get to see some news on Argonians as soon as possible, the shape of their legs will determine if I play as an Argonian the first time or not.

As has been said, Todd Howard said in the podcast that all the races would look good and unique, but right now, due to the lack of clear views of other races, there isn't really much actual graphical evidence to back this claim. I mean, I'm pretty sure there's at least one elf in the trailer, but it's not a closeup view and since the video moves so quickly, you'd have to pause it or take a screenshot to properly see the character in question. Still, it does sound like Bethesda is putting work into enhancing the appearances of individual races and giving them more identity, so hopefully this means that Khajiit and Argonians won't dissappoint, and of all the races, these are the ones whose appearances I'm most concerned with, primarily because they're the races I prefer, I also think it would be easier to mess them up than the other races, though. Especially the humans. Since they're so different from real humans, if any aspect of them is poorly done, it's going to really stand out, just look at how much people complain about their animations in Morrowind, even though all the character animations are poorly done. My theory is that it's because the animations for Khajiit and Argonians tended to stand out more because they were unusual.

From that one picture of Argonian concept art though, I suspect they'll be more human looking than Morrowind, but somewhat less so than Oblivion, which I guess is nice, though what I'd really like is for them to more or less be like Morrowind, just with all the graphical improvements one would expect from Skyrim, of course.

Turn on Oblivion and open the book Mixed Unit Tactics for the variations on the Khajiit. Maybe not all of them, but there are enough.

Yeah, I"m really hoping you can color the scales/fur, and HOPEFULLY the eyes. They all had the same eye color.

I'm actually online daily (when I try) just to look for a new screenshot of the beast races (that includes Orcs for me btw).

Also I'm not sure what to make of the lady bartender. The eyes are slanted a little, so I'm thinking an elf. The lighting could be changing it & its a little blurry, so....I don't know. Looks a little grayish, but once again the lighting. *shrugs*

I'm hoping they find a happy medium. They can't please everyone though. I think most agree that the hands/feet in Oblivion were too human, though people disagree to what extent. I'd be happy if it was like Oblivion except with actual claws instead of spray painted human hands/feet. I hope they don't go the digitigrade route for the legs, but I understand many people would prefer that.

It would take a disaster on the level of the http://www.flash-screen.com/free-wallpaper/uploads/200706/imgs/1182957821_1024x768_kerra-wallpaper.jpg (ape skulls) to disappoint me too badly.

Todd isn't a JRPG fan(cat girls) so I don't think they'll use the human-like Khajiits.

JRPGs are not filled with cat girls. Take http://www.pobladores.com/data/pobladores.com/ri/no/rinoavalentine/channels/vampire_ninja_love/images/3817264kimahri.jpg for an example from Final Fantasy X of a JRPG that does a cat-like person just fine. Considering the elf-like Khajiit are part of the lore though it could happen. I certainly hope not though!

They greyish skin points out that she's a dunmer.

But it's horrifiying to imagine an argonian with a flat face. (Like Reptile from the Mortal Kombat Series, though I know he has a appearance as a full reptile fighter in an MK PS2 game)

Gesundheit. :P

I was never happy with the way Oblivion depicted Khajiit (along with several other changes) and ended up giving it a pass completely.
I don't know if I'm "looking forward" to Skyrim but I'm certainly anxious to see the results here. Something tells me I'm going to have to recreate the old White Senches for TES5, it'd be gratifying to know there's a solid framework to build on - especially given that it's been years since I did any serious modding work for an ES game.
