Any Interesting LOOKING Armor Combinations?

Post » Mon Feb 04, 2013 4:35 am

Heavy Stalhrim + Atherium Crown looks great of my female Nord knight.

My Khajiit mage is sporting the Telvanni robes with the Copper/Ruby circlet and generic brown gloves.

Both look like a matching set :D

Totally agree! My favourite as well. In a way though I think its okay the officers and Ulfric doesn't wear it, it makes the dragonborn look more badass and unique.

Good point. I look like a stormcloak, AND I look badass and unique. Win, win.

The Spartan-ish Imperial Helmet looks good with Nordic Carved Armour IMO.

Chitin Heavy Helmet, Chitin Heavy Gauntlets, Chitin Heavy Boots and the wasted Telvanni Robes and you've got a wasteland look.

I have a character that wears Miraak's robes, and light chitin helmet, hands, and feet. The low cut of miraak's robes means you can see that the face wrappings on the helm go down past the shoulders. Looks cool in my opinion.

Not armor kinda, but the Apprentice's Hood and Tavern Clothes is a pretty nice match for females, at least.

Agreed on Nord carved. I think I'll give the bear head a try. Side note: Nord carved is officially my favorite armor. It's so fitting for stormcloak characters. I wish the stormcloak commanders wore this instead, or at least Ulfric. Even though light armor for nords is more appropriate, this armor still seems more fitting to me.
bah I say the armor they wear is fine because it represents the "bear of markarth" nicely.
also stormcloaks wear light armor because a true nords skin is already hard and strong

I wear fur armor with the fur-lined boots (boots that go with the noble clothes set) because the clipping looks good. The fur armor's leggings show through giving the boots a furrier, wrapped look. Its especially better than the regular fur boots from the armor set.

In addition, I've found that the fur on the Wolf guantlets blends in with the look rather well, and from an RP standpoint makes sense if you've completed the Campanions' questline. To top it all off, to get that Conan-esque feel to the whole thing, I wear the Ancient Nord Helm. In most light the metal's colorization on the helm does not clash with the Wolf guantlets, but no, they don't technically match. Its only really annoying in heavy firelight or the more orangey environments, if I remember correctly. In daylight and dungeon lighting they match fairly well. The Stormcloak officer boots are a good match for the set if you are looking for meatier footwear, by the way.

The only problem is, I'd like to find a piece of more traditional body armor to use on occasions where my character goes out purposefully to do battle. The ebony armor makes the clash between the helm and guantlets apparent. Any one have suggestions?

Bah X2! True nords can wear anything and be proficient fighters, be it heavy armor, light armor or no armor. The exception is the elven [censored], and the latex [censored] that makes you look like the catwoman!

CARVED NORDIC!!!!!!!

Yes, but the metal clashes with both the helm and the harbringer's guantlets. The fur is spot on, but the plates gleam too brightly for the dark grey-to-black look of the other two pieces.

Good suggestion, though--that carved Nordic is sixy stuff. The regular leather armor wouldn't be too bad, either, but the buckles are a little shiny.

ha you mean the dark brotherhood gimp suit?

my nord rocked ragged trousers, normal boots and hide bracers for most of the game until he found the saviors hide better suited his barbaric style ;)

I mean the Dark Sisterhoods bondage apparel and yes I'm talking to you: Nightingale batboy costume. True nords were nothing but metal, fur or just plain hairy, smelly manskin!

What about the scaled horn armor? Am I the only one who holds this as my favourite light armor for a nord? (along with the Saviour's hide)

Ulfrics outfit with long white hair, a white face tattoo, a long white beard, and wuuthrad

Just check my pic

Also,
Vampire lord armor with apprentice hood
Telvanni robes with carved Nordic gauntlets and white long hair and beard and bloodskal blade
Blackboard hood with guildmasters armor
Oh and the Nordic carved helmet doesn't look dorky with a long thick beard (I think a beards meant for the helmet)

I think I have a lot more, but I'll have to get back to you

So... Just found an epic combination: Ulfric's clothes, Nordic Gauntlets/Boots, and the closed face/black plume Imperial Helmet. Beastly.

Just curious but has anybody used dragon aspect (all three words) with a full set of Dragon scale? kind of looks like the dragon aspect is based off of that armor set, just wondering how it fits over that set?

So far, I've found that

Dukaan's mask goes well with the Ancient Falmer Armor
Zahkriisos' mask looks good with Carved Nordic Armor

Anyone else find anything that looks good together?

I really, really wanted Zahkriiso's mask to go with that armour but the colours don't quite match. Why oh why couldn't they have given us something with 'augment destruction' to disenchant. I just run around in Telvanni robes and Morag Tong bracers and Boots with no enchantments because I'm quite a high level.

As I said in another thread, most black things go nice with nordic carved armor due to its black leather. Specially in helmets, as I haven't found gloves or boots that match it too well. That aside, I gave Teldryn Sero, the spellsword for hire, a morag tong helmet with everything else stalhrim. Little wierd in the beggining, but the scarf suits it quite nice. That aside I tried to find armor that matched with Stalhrim. Most acomplished set is glass, and that is a different tone... With stalhrim armor and the rest glass (except for shield which can be any of those two) you get an interesting look, but it still doesn't convince me.

Also, I've seen bonemold helmet with dwarven armor usually looks nice, as tones are similar under most lights. Red vampire armor or vampire lord armor with light chitin armor for the rest makes good look, specially because of the red. Wíth the black pair or vampire lord armor (again) looks nice with morag tong. Basically it's the same, but more sinister-feeling. I'll watch out for anything else. And any advice for stalhrim would be appreciated.

Ulfric's clothes, ebony boots and gauntlets and a dragonplate helmet (with or without vampirism) = the BatDovahkiin. Throw in an ebony shield and dragonbone sword and it's a look the Ebony Warrior wold envy.
