Any minor tweaks you think Bethesda should patch in?

To make Fallout 4, a better experience:

  • Adding sub menus to the Misc tab in the Inventory menu with Tapes, Books (this could include passwords, magazines, notes) Bobbleheads, Other (things like Stingwing Barb, Vault Tech Lunchboxes)

  • Allowing the player to rename gear directly from the Pip Boy

  • A Companions tab under the Data or Map menu to easily see where all acquired companions are

  • Immersive Settlers - more settler animations interacting with more furniture pieces like reading books from the magazine rack (some NPCs like Myrna already do this), playing pool on the pool table or shooting hoops with the b-ball hoop (perhaps someone can mod these in)

  • A temporary dead corpse locator (similar to Red Dead Redemption when you kill enemies) to see locations of corpses during huge fights so you can loot quickly without looking for that legendary enemy you killed

  • Clearer underwater visuals

  • More detailed local maps

  • Broadcasts of the pre-war news report about the bombs dropping, in-game ads (Sugar Bombs, Corvega) or upcoming arena fights from the Wasteland Workshop DLC on settlement TVs

We need an "abandon quest" option. It seems they fixed a radiant quest from institute to clear out feral ghouls in different areas, the problem was that some of the areas would be settlements. Killing the settlers would complete the quest but counter productive, most likely why it was fixed. Though I had the quest when the fix supposedly came in one of the patches, except I couldn't find where it said it in the patch notes. Just what I read on the interwebs. Now I'm stuck with the quest and can't complete it no matter what. On a console so a force complete will not work.

Make all essential npc's protected so I can make a character so torn up over his loss he becomes a murdering cannibal that nobody is safe from.

I think more outfits should be able to be modified with the Ballistic Weave.

You can mod Tattered Rags or a Sequin Dress, but you can't mod a Yellow Trench Coat.

You can mod Military Fatigues or Army Fatigues, but you can't mod Brotherhood Fatigues or a BOS Uniform.

You can mod the female Casual Outfit, but you can't mod the male Casual Outfit.

You can mod a Courser Uniform.

There's no rhyme or reason to it. I really don't understand why they picked some outfits and not other outfits.

I really love the look of the Brotherhood Fatigues, but I don't like to wear them because the stats are low and you can't wear armor over it.

I really really love the look of the Minutemen General's Uniform. It's not much better than the Courser Uniform, and you can't wear additional armor over it like the Military Fatigues; I'd like to Ballistic Weave it too. I don't think it'd be anything game breaking.

Abandon quest for sure. I've got two or three orphan quests on my log that will never be finished - like taking my favorite bartender back to Goodneighbor.

I'd love to be able to send Companions back to their original locations, too.

It would be nice if we could group different armors and clothes together into a single set for easy donning/doffing.

Nerf Ballistic Weave. There is no reason a pair of summer shorts and a cap should have more protection than Power Armor. Makes no freakin' sense. Cut at least by 1/3 and hats by 1/10. Only allow it to be added to military-type outfits. Military unifroms, Gunner outfits, etc.

A pair of summer shorts and a cap is about on par with the lowest tier T-45 chest piece and less than half the protection of a full suit of the lowest tier T-45 power armor.

Ballistic Weave does not offer a level of protection comparable to power armor.

More jobs for settlers other than just running stores and tending crops.

I'd like it if crouching worked to get into smaller/lower spaces. As it is now, crouching doesn't make you shorter, it just moves your point of view down lower. I was really disappointed when I learned this. I do all sorts of climbing around in ruined houses, and there are lots of spaces that you should be able to crawl into, but can't. Go ahead and test it in-game. Once you see it, you can't unsee it. :(

Agreed to a point. BUT, I think it should be applicable to all outfits at those lower levels AND that all outfits should be able to stack with armor. There is no logical reason for these artificial restrictions. Something like 15/30/45 added to armor would not be game breaking when tanking, but would also give a not-worthless amount of protection without armor when discretion was required.

They need to fix the things you can apply ballistic weave to, now for instance you can add it on some hats but not other hats which makes zero sense, same with outfits.

Yeah, it's pretty dumb for a fedora to provide 10x more protection than an army helmet.

Give console users access to Console Commands. Plenty of bugs out there with a Console command workaround. Bugs which will not see an official patch any time soon.

Rename settlers

I like the idea of renaming armor and weapons via pip boy... (why the F do we need a workbench to do this... so F'n stupid.)

wearing Limb armor pieces on ANY outfit we wear in order to get the stats whether they visually show up on the outfit or not.

I agree with being able to organize the MISC tab better.

being able to intersect objects in build mode... (NO MORE RED!!!!! EVER!!!!!) If I want to put a couch sticking halfway into a bed.... F'n let me if I have to... dont limit me just because you dont want me to put the Nuka Cola machine too close to the wall....

Weapons holstered appearing on character.

As said above, sending Companions back to their original home is a must. (also, sending Piper to a new location should also send her little sister as well)

being able to command child settlers to use beds or do certain jobs like farming or scavenging. (can't command them at all, it's stupid.....)

SMALLER STORE STANDS!!!!!!!!! (WHY ARE THEY SO HUGE>??!>?!?!?!?!? WHY!?!?!?!?)

aslo one more thing. The ability to CLIMB!!!!!! You should be able to climb over certain objects like vehicles and short ledges.... it's stupid that someone fro mthe military cant climb into the bed of an abandoned pickup because it's 2 inches too high for him to leap into.

Should be able to add the wooden desk to settlements. Not talking about the metal and school desk that we already have, don't like either for my office.

Bethesda needs to finish their melee system, at the moment there are ZERO kill finishers or counters for any wasteland creatures, what happened to the skyrim kill cams where you can ride a dragon and decapitate giants after stabing them behind the knee? Seriously I want to see some melee finishers I can do to a deathclaw and behemoth, at the current moment if you try to melee deathclaws or ghouls and you hit the bash key you trigger a animation thats bugged, so the mechanic is in place it's just not finished.

Its not really a little thing, but I want the ability to make the Robot Racetrack a neutral area, where people come to gamble and drink.

Hopefully someone will mod that in once the GECK is released.

Fix the level 4 traders. To this day they still wont show up where I send them, or ever again for that matter.

Except for Vault-Tec Rep, but I can't stand him because I have to go through recruit speech every time I want to trade, so now I ignore him.
