Any multiplayer tips?

Hey guys,

I've been playing Crysis 2 for a few days now and have really been enjoying my time with the game. I do have some questions about multiplayer though as it is very confusing right now. I have no prior experience with any multiplayer games like call of duty or anything like that (my friend told me this game is similar to that but like I said no prior experience so won't be any help).

1. What is the point of collecting dog tags from enemies you kill? Is there anyway to see the dog tags we've collected? What is the main benefit here?
2. What is the point of the experience for stealth, power etc? Does levelling those up increase the corresponding skill (i.e. higher stealth level = longer stealth duration?) also how do we get EXP for a specific skill????
3.- How does stealth work? I notice sometimes I can see a unit that is stealthed even when they're fully cloaked, but sometimes I cannot.
-Is there an ability that lets you see cloaked units in this game? Do you become slightly visible in stealth if you are moving vs if you are stationary?

Also, any general multiplayer tips for someone new to this type of game? Thanks for all the help!

A tip and a serous one:

wait until they patch the MP then play it.

the point of killing enemies for tags to is to use your kill streak special.

The point of getting a higher level in stealth/power is to unlock perks under that class.

Stealth is a joke in this game. it does not really work unless you are sniping.

1) You have to collect the dog tags in order to use killstreak rewards (i.e. radar, nanosuit jammer, gunship)
2) Leveling your nanosuit modes provides XP bonuses and there is a second tier of nanosuit modules that are unlocked only when a particular mode reaches level 6.
3) Stealth makes you MOSTLY invisible. Depending what stealth modules a person is using, they may or may not cast a shadow on the ground/wall. Usually you can see a person in stealth unaided if they are nearby. Also if you suspect someone is cloaked nearby, you can hit the 'N' key to activate nanovision, which is basically thermal vision, and shows people that are cloaked, but it also drains your suit energy. some of the stealth modules add additional abilities that allow you to find people better, but I would recommend looking through the modules in the 'Customize Equipment' menu when you have access to it (if you don't already).

As for tips for the newbies?
1) I would recommend sticking close to allies at least until you are more comfortable with the game.
2) There is a game variant called New Recruits. It is only available to players with a level below 10. This should prove very useful in getting to know the game a little better. Also, there is less of a discrepancy in the equipment loadout available to each player, as much of it is based on player level.
3) Two of the best guns in the game to me are the Scar and the MK60. Both of which are available from the get go. Mk60 is good because of a 100 round clip, which means less reloading. If you're into that sort of thing. The Scar is really where it's at though. You'll find that it is most players "Bread and Butter".

Most of all, find a gaming style that suits you. The more comfortable you are, the better you'll do.

Hope this helps
