Any news of a GotY edition for NV?

Post » Thu Oct 20, 2011 9:13 am

I have yet to download any of the DLC and currently have the game for PS3. I'm going to get it for the 360 again and do another play through. My question is, is there going to be a Game of the Year edition coming out soon? I don't want to waste time/money downloading it from XBL if they're going to be releasing a GotY edition with all the DLC included. Thanks!

They might do a released version with all the DLCs but it won't be GoTY.

It may get GOTY from someone, so it is possible but I agree, I doubt it will. I would imagine more of a "deluxe" edition

It's not like they couldn't just name it a Game of the Year edition. You think there's a regulatory body that governs use of the term Game of the Year?

It wouldn't make sense to be a game of the year if it never one the award.

But it would make sense if it was good marketing and would sell them more copies. Fallout 3 called its all-in-one bundle ''Game of the Year'' edition, so logically anyone familiar with both Fallout 3 and New Vegas could be expected to assume the all-in-one bundle for New Vegas would also be called a ''Game of the Year'' edition. Winning an arbitrary award from some arbitrary magazine/website has little bearing on what ''makes sense'' when ultimately what matters is what ''makes cents.''
