Any news on the CS yet?

I'm not up to date with the latest Skyrim news; has there been any details on what the Construction Set will be like; any changes?

They're still using the .nif format. I know nothing more. I haven't been keeping up with it being a console gamer and all.

One thing I'd really like would be to assign unique music to areas like your own dungeons/buildings. No idea if this already appeared in the editors for Fallout 3 and NV.

All i know is I hope modding becomes easier. Not a HUGE deal though since the modding community is brilliant. I also hope that perks are easy to create. I dunno, the whole thing excites me.

Hmm, I always thought since morrowind that the construction set has been a very intuitive modding system with a fairly easy learning curve.

The Creation Kit will do some things better than the Construction Set. It's natural progression.

for simple modding yeah. Not on some of the bigger projects.. but like I said, no big deal. I am sure anything with practice becomes easy enough.

I hope it will be more like the Morrowind CS rather than the Oblivion one.

It was comfirmed that it ships with the game, like, on the same CD. Installable as soon as you receive your copy.

Interesting how everyone has missed one of the biggest new features that the Creation Kit will have. Players will be able to tamper and mess around with Radiant Story to create their own quests and content!

We don't know how much the radiant story thing really does though. I'm guessing that aside from a few extra features (randomized quest givers/targets) it wouldn't be much different from making quests in Oblivion.

Script Language will be improved (interesting how much)
Pathfinding was reworked I believe thats change path grids creating in CS
There is no more Speed tree for trees instead there will be system created internally in BGS (animated meshes, activators?) they will have different weight for branches to be affected with wind.
There will be different sound format for voices (ogg maybe?)
Radiant Story will help with making quests by easy choosing templates and requirements for quest.
