Any news on Werewolves or Vampires?

He mentioned they were 'playing around with them' in an interview. Its pretty much implied that they actually made them, but havn't decided wether or not to put them in the final game. He said he would only add them if he felt it would improve the game.

This/

They said the same thing about horses which back at the time, wasn't mountable.

Ok Vampires were in Morrowind and Oblivion I dono about the other TES games. So through logic I KNOW and am 100% shure they will be on it. I think through logic and my gut (yes my gut is physic) that warewolves will be in it. As far as I know they were only in bloodmoon I would say there is a 60 to 90% chance they will be in it. All I can say is read the articals forums and pray. Also keep up the threads the more they read them and report to Bethesda Studios the better our chance of having what we want inside this soon to be out and epicly wonderfull game.

If there aren't werebears in Skyrim, then the people in charge of the lore will have some explaining to do. If one remembers reading "On Lycanthropy" in Oblivion, werebears were said to be a very common occurrence in Skyrim. It may not be the strongest argument one can make, but it's enough to convince me were-beasts should be in the game. My real question is can you be a vampire and a werewolf?(probably not, that sounds silly).

Both at the same time? Eww, hell no! That would ruin it. Either be a Lycanthrope or a vampire. No half-breed abominations.

I sincerely hope that werewolves will be included in Skyrim...It would be grandly remiss not to include them into a setting that not since 'Bloodmoon' was so perfectly tailored for lycanthropes...I will keep my fingers crossed and my hopes (that seem to be dimming with every passing day) alive for werewolves in Skyrim...

Being one of the people in charge of the TES lore and making sure every game stays true to the mythology would be the best job in the world! :tes:

There were no Werewolves in Cyrodiil because the Vampires there wouldn’t permit them in the province in which they've weeded out the competition. They have organized their force to do so, and rookie vampires who wouldn't join would be rid of. A direct quote from the book Manifesto Cyrodiil Vampyrum, "...we suffer no savage rivals within our boundries..." I think the book Immortal Blood states it also, whilst covering the various vampiric clans. Werewolves should most definitely be in Skyrim, however, as they stick to the Northern, frigid areas anyway. Remember, they were in Solstheim, RIGHT of the coast of the Nords' home province.

Imagine going toe-to-toe with a Frost Troll as a werewolf...... *faints from awesome*

The Cyrodilic vampires do not permit other vampires instead of hating on werewolves. The quote clearly meant other vampires from different clans.

"Know first that we are no simple tribe of savages, tearing throats with the orgiastic abandon of our scattered, tribal brethren."

"On Our Rivals:

"Most barbaric tribes think themselves powerful by the gift of Bals blood alone, and squander the gift. There are those, however, who show signs of enlightenments, and earn our attention - those such as Glenmoril Wyrd, who live within the walls of Breton cities, or the Whet-Fang sodality of Black Marsh, who use magicka to keep captives catatonic and harvest from them the red nectar. These foes may one day threaten to impugn our sovereignty within the boundries of Cyrodiil, thus compelling our vigilance. Should and enroach upon our dominion, our wrath must be swift and total."

They could care less about werewolves because...werewolves are werewolves. The cyrodilic vampires dislike other vampire clans because they believe they squander the gift of vampirism. They also believe themselves to be the top vampires because they can walk in the sun when they feed, they can manipulate humans and walk among them and live "life" masquerading as normal people. Other vampires can't do that. Werewolves wouldn't be a threat for vampires because their nature is to be a werewolf twice every month while vampires need to feed daily. They aren't considered a threat to reveal the Order.

Vampires bring in vampire hunters, who go around snooping for vampires.

Yea. That remains to be seen. After E3, our questions might be answered. Either a "Yes" or a "No"

Werewolves have never been mentioned to be coded in, back in the Feb. IGN interview Todd said they are fans of that stuff too, and they do not know where all thats going to end up and he mentioned he does not want to get into the "things you can turn into" so theres more than 1 thing you can transform into..... but he never mentioned werewolves. I believe its a Yeti you turn into.

I wanna be a yeti!!!!!!!!!! I wanna eat people! :foodndrink:

Why the hell would someone want to turn into a Yeti? I mean...a yeti?

Sure, it may appease to some. But Skyrim is werebear and werewolf home. The closest thing to a Yeti was the Udyfrykte.
