Plenty of talk by players on the forums, none by devs at all anywhere. No other mounts other than the horses in game (and I personally hope it stays that way).
What kind of mounts are you pointing at? flying dragons and iceblob etc, or tes lore ones?
I have only seen horses in tes, silth striders, but those are for many people in morrowind, I think horses will do fine, maybe add a diversity of horses to choose from in colour and size etc. Maybe a senche tiger.
I am sure there are more lore like I do not know of.
Horses so far, hopefully wont add other mounts for the game.
We don't need to give anymore fuel to the "WoW Clone" fire.
I would like to see the Senche as a Khajiit-only mount because it is lore-friendly. Other than that, yes, horses are enough.
Horses are excellent. No floating alien bugs, no two headed tortoises and definitely no pink pastel anime creatures. Nothing against other art styles, but I'm totally against bringing anything not TES into ESO. And I don't want the conflicts of some sort of racial mounts. What's wrong with horses anyway? They totally fit the theme and aesthetics of the game, even if you know nothing about TES.
One other possibility; there were saddle guar as well as pack guar in Morrowind. I wouldn't mind seeing that in Morrowind/Vvardenfall. Even if the player can't use it seeing an ashlander or a dunmer riding one would be fine.
I would also like to see a khajiit with a senche-raht mount. And a saddle that doesn't pinch the tail. If only to see what the one khajiit was talking about.
Is lifting the tail considered a social faux pas then
The Senche mount might be difficult only because, lore wise a Khajiit could dismount and have the Senche fight along side as an extra npc. I only want to see lore friendly mounts, horses, Senche (in Khajiit areas), and maybe silth striders in Morrowind areas.
Ah yeah the guar, though they were never riding it Oo maybe that were fault of game engine at the time.
Well, giant floating insects are lore-accurate
The Dunmer ride them.
Luckily the TES lore is a living system. New lore is added with every TES game and TES novel and I can't wait to delve into what TESO has to add to the TES lore. The fact that we've only seen horses and silt striders in single player doesn't mean those are the only mounts used by the population, it only means that's the only mounts Bethesda has shown in the respective games. Similarily, the fact that people don't levitate in TES V: Skyrim doesn't mean levitation in TES III Morrowind was a lie or someone's dream. It's just that different games present different aspects of the Tamrielic life. I think there is a lot of room for the introduction of various mounts in TESO (and TES for that matter) without breaking the lore. Pretty much every creature specific to a province can be subject to taming without breaking the lore.
No, we never saw one with a rider in the game, but did see several with saddles and saddlebags in the ashlander camps, and in a quest where you had to hunt down 2 ashlander hide thieves. We never saw the silt strider drivers on the silt strider, either. I think it was a limitation of the engine at the time.
They sub- races are the same smartness -- Both are of them are Khajiit and have the same type of mind, just their bodies are different. One can not say that a human and a horse are the same race (unless the human is a jerk ) -- there are different "critters"
Sorry, humans can not have talk with their mount the horse, but Khajiit can have a real talk with their Senche, because they can understand each other and are the same race afterall. That will be hard to put off and still keep the RP and lore aspects as ZOS should.
Lore is King -- the fastest way for ZOS to make people run away from this game if they start breaking lore for the "WoW kiddies"
In others, no pink bunnies, tanks, any type of guns. ESO is based on a medevil game and it is NOT a sci-fi game after all.
Pretty sure it would be badass for my Dunmer to float into battle on top a majestic silt strider mount.
Or a dev comment about how much fun it was to have a khajiit with a tail trying to ride a "human/mer" horse. I didn't get to see whether there was clipping, but the khajiit on the horse who galloped past my khajiit didn't look very comfortable.
Who's asking for crazy mounts like pink bunnies, jetpacks, or sci-fi vehicles?
Any creature seen in the game could be used as a mount, and subsequently fit in the lore. Heck, they could even create never before seen creatures, and make mounts out of them. As long as they seem to fit in the environment, and don't contradict any story archs... what's Lore got to do with it?
As others have stated, hope not. Though wouldn't mind seeing different types of horses.
See no reason they couldn't include a conjurable ghost-horse, as in the Dragonborne EP for Skyrim.
Well there were unicorns in Oblivion was there not?
So maybe just maybe you might get a unicorn in the future
In RL, humans don't ride pink bears for a reason -- unless one wants to be dinner for the said bear.
Mounts need to follow common sense and the history of the world (aka lore)
IMHO, TES is trying to answer this question in a non silly way:
"What a world be like if it has magic and 10 main races and a Multi-Gods?"
I sure hope there will be more mounts than just horses. I love variation. There should be mounts that come from each province with their specific looks and strengths.
Well, that's just a horny horse, so no problem there.
That might be good if it is not pink or some other silly non real like color. I like the fact that ESO / TES is NOT a cartoon based game and would like to keep that way.
Why not? That'd be lore-friendly.

Personally I hope to see them add more variety of lore-friendly mounts in the future. The Senche-Raht Khajiit come to mind as do Silt Striders of course, Guar, and the serpents that the Sea Elves are meant to ride (though they may not be able to go on land).
