any one know why i cant hurt alduin : V

My one handed deadric sword and rings combined do 253 damage and i cant even take sliver off of him this is in alduins wall my character level is 58 i use the dragon rend shout cmon now i finished all the other elder scrolls my character is a dragon killing machine this just makes no sense whatsoever this svcks i cant continue on the main mission now this dragon is invincible for me BOOOOOOOOO bethesda

You can only hurt him while he's under the effect of the dragonrend shout

It would appear the character you made isn't really the Dragonborn. You should probably make a new character and hope Akatosh blesses that one. :spotted owl:

Lol, now that would be Epic, "Ya sorry we didn't bless you with Dragonborn, so....."

And OP, were are you that your attacking him, like what part of the MQ, and "spoiler" it just in case.

During the main quest you'll learn the dragonrend shout which is necessary for damaging him. If you haven't learned it yet you can't touch him, if you have learned it make sure he stays under it's effect - you may need to use it multiple times.

He can only be fought in the Main Quest with the Dragonrend Shout. If you happen to find him while roaming around he is invincible.

There's a reported bug that he can become invincible if you attack prior to him giving his speech. Not sure if that has been patched, try letting him finish the speech all the way through before using Dragonrend,
