any one think SK will support PS move or MS kinect?

Post » Wed Mar 30, 2011 10:13 am

I have my own reservations about how that would feel or work in game and if it would be good. I personally don't care for motion controll games but I think having the option to switch on and off would be nice.

I don't see it as being very probable since in the past TES games have alot of varying button functions for non combat actions and I don't know how that would translate into motion gesture. but I would imagine sony at least suggesting to bgs that they try even if it meant support for the function some time after release and kinect would probably want to snag that up too.

I guess it depends on if bgs thinks motion gaming is a fad or not.

I believe there is no support for either move or kinect.

They won't do this, and we all thank them for it.

We like Skyrim, but we don't want to be forced to reduce ourselves to the star wars guy to play the game.

OH GOD KILL IT WITH FIRE.

Maybe in a few hundred iterations motion sensing will be ready to take up the gamepad's mantle.

Maybe I'll even be alive to see it happen.

Maybe.

Evidently these devices eat up some memory so they won't be supported at all.

my intention was if it was optional and not the main interface of the game.

sounds like a good reason not to do it then. I would rage quit if they cut a weapon and armor type or some other equivilant just to do motion control.

I don't see Skyrim having any use of Kinect or PS Move, and frankly I hope it doesn't. I just think that would turn out kind of cheesy.

Another thing for next-gen it seems.

Although I'm sure there will be mods.

seems the concensuse so far is no. can't say I disagree, I still think I might use it if it were optional but... I just thought of this so I threw it out on the forums.

Biggest problem with the Wii was that they tried to shoe-horn in the motion controls into every single game, regardless of whether it was good for the game or not. Some Wii games are amazing with the motion controls. Some aren't. And the Move & Kinect seem like they won't work as well..... so thank god they aren't trying to jam the stupid things into every game that comes out. Just because it's the "cool new thing" doesn't mean it's always an improvement.

I don't think that it would work. I know they threw around an idea to actually say the dragon shouts, but I think the move and kinect are just too far out there. Could you imagine a Skyrim for the Wii?

thats why I didn't even mention the wii. I enjoyed some of the games like bowling but I wasn't about to pay up for a wii just for those mini games. I never intended to suggest if SK will be designed around motion controll, just if any one would like it if they made it optional.
