Do any of these mods exist? -

A mod which adds Morrowind style fog to the world map until you've explored it?

Enables lockpicking with the keyboard?

adds weather penalties? (tried DP's hypothermia mod, didnt like the intrusiveness)

a rucksack mod?

A guide book giving all trainer locations?

Thanks.

It would be cool to have a mod that adds fog to the map, never saw one though :(

A rucksack like what? I use that http://www.nexusmods.com/oblivion/mods/39282/? for alchemy. I use this for general purpose http://www.nexusmods.com/oblivion/mods/25012/? If you want others, on the Nexus Search field type "bag". The first three ones are quite popular.

As for other mods I don't know any.

Here's a trainer book: http://www.nexusmods.com/oblivion/mods/2115/? (second result for "trainer" on Nexus... have you tried looking for it yourself?)

What would a rucksack mod do? Make the player equip one so that it looks like he has something where he stores all that stuff he finds or should it actually do something? I also don't know of any, though.

Pretty sure there is no mod that adds fog to the world map. I guess you want to keep track of where you have already been. Well, if nobody has done it yet, I guess it can't be done.

It don't believe a mod that allows lock picking with the keyboard exists. Would be nice, though.

No idea about weather penalties.

Thanks again Pherim, I tend to use Google when searching for mods as I've generally had poor results using Nexus's search function.

What mods are available which let you add mod weapons and armour to the levelled lists ?

I have a bunch of mods which add these to the game, and would like to add many more, but would like it even more if I can have them used by NPCs as well.

Many mods does that - check out those from my description for an example. You may search in the Nexus using tag Levelled Lists (tag search).

Some mods add items through leveled list into containers, but most of the time it's in those leveled lists that are indeed used by NPCs. Generic NPCs inventory is often controlled by leveled lists.

Hey thanks man, will check those out when Im at home.

Interesting what you say about "tag search " too, I had searched Leveled Lists but only as part of the mod name, and got very little but that's a feature I'll now explore...intensively.

Cheers

I ask here. Is there any overhaul for Oblivion Realm worlds? At least, I want bigger pool of worlds. Only 10 worlds - it's very sad.

The only thing I know that changes anything in Oblivion Realms is this: http://www.nexusmods.com/oblivion/mods/40461/?It changes Dremorae to be more diverse.

I don't belive that there are anything like Better Dungeons for Oblivion Realms unfortunately.

Which is really strange considering the repetitiveness of the Oblivion Realms has been one of the major complaints about Oblivion from the very beginning. I guess most modders just tend to ignore them altogether. :P

I recently had this crazy idea about an Oblivion Realm overhaul that replaces the randomized Oblivion worlds with a completely new, open worldspace of about the same size as the original Cyrodiil, possibly even some kind of nightmarish version of roughly the same landscape, which would even make some sense, considering

Spoiler
Mankar Camoran's assertion that Tamriel is actually Mehrunes Dagon's daedric realm.

Anyway, every gate would lead to a specific place in this realm, and those associated with the main quest would also lead to more important places than others and involve more extensive quests to close them than others. And maybe sometimes it would not be possible to exit the realm through the same gate it was entered when closing it, so the player would have to look for another one in the Oblivion Realm.

Then there would be Daedra Cities and villages the player could visit, and there would also be inhabitants that do not try to kill him on sight, but can be talked to and interacted with just like with the usual NPCs. Of course, there would have to be some explanation for this.

But I'm aware that this will probably never happen. I certainly can't do it, and even if could, I could not do it alone and it would still take a long, long time.

^^ I've thought the same thing Pherim, an open world Oblivion realm rather than dungeon types realms. Im suprised its never been made considering how much critisicm went into oblivion gates.

Me, I've only finished the main quest once. Aside from Kvatch during a couple of failed attempts to do the main quest a second time, I haven't even seen an Oblivion realm since 2006. I wonder if maybe other modders aren't in a similar position? It could be that many of us just haven't done the main quest enough times to get fed up with it and want to overhaul the realms.

I like your idea of a large, open-world Oblivion realm. The feeling of being cramped inside a small, confined space every time I went through an Oblivion Gate is what I remember most vividly ten years later. If anybody made such a mod I would definitely use it.

It is very much possible... I read all the time that people have finished the main quest only once or even never. I have just recently finished my first ever playthrough, during which I also did the main quest, and I can understand these people. So I don't know, it might also take quite some time until I am going to play through it again. But a mod like the one I fantasized about in my post above would be at least as big an undertaking as Tamriel Rebuilt for Morrowind, which, despite having been in development for almost 14 years now, is certainly an amazing accomplishment, but unfortunately, nowhere near finished.

I don't say it can't be done, but unfortunately, I do say, I can certainly not do it. ;)
