We really don't need another thread for site improvements and BETA discussions. There's 100 of each already.

Crytek will give information as soon as it's available :)

Well, isn't it becoming obvious? This site was made to look good on TV's, not computers. Crytek is aiming everything they have at consoles. PC's are an afterthought. I would say Crytek is now 4/5th console, 1/5 PC company.

Kuro stop being such a Debbie Downer about absolutely everything.

The website improvements should be coming soon. Hopefully by the end of this week we will see a major update. If it takes longer than a month to add the basic stuff we are asking for, then it is time to get worried and complain to Crytek about how long its taking to add some functionality to this website.

Meh, I lost trust in Crytek a while back. I don't see our old site style coming back at all. I think they have made it this way to conform with the consoles.

If you lost trust in Crytek, then why are you here for?

Mate, you need a holiday.

All in good time. I'm sure they got more pressing issues at hand, with beta for starters.
There are not all that many posters on the forums to be hasting improvements here.
Some day lad, some day..

I think I would rather have them spend time on the game than the website anyway......

I'd be interested in seeing what this site looks like on my 360, except that it doesn't have a web browser. :P

Remember, costumers always right, Shinanigans :D

If Crytek cannot produce a compelling and engaging forum experience, someone else will. In the U.S., competition is key. Personally I like the website but that might be because I am new to forums. Honestly this site seems to be creating a lot of discontent among my fellow forum whores. Just remember Crysis is not the only game coming out this holiday season and Crytek needs to leave itself impenetrable to criticism because I know a lot of games this season that will be hard to beat. That being said, I know some people will always complain, i.e. Weaver, Kuro6, Talon and essentially Guss600. But these guys are like sharks and only roam where they smell blood. And even though they complain, if you read some of the "MW2 vs. Crysis" and "Halo vs. Crysis" threads, they will defend Crysis and Crytek to the death, even at the expense of all logic and reason. Crytek needs to fire on all cylinders for this base, right now more than ever. All due respect.

Well, Enfadel, since your new to forums, I can tell you this is not how a normal forum is. Look up on your browser www.incrysis.com . That is a normal forum.

Complaints are good, so long as they're delivered in a respectful and constructive fashion. Complaints help to identify issues and hopefully rectify them but i fear a lot of people don't quite understand that things just don't happen overnight (exaggeration, i know it's been a few weeks).

It's only my interpretation and personal assumption, but it seems as though quite a few people think that Crytek don't care about the community when in fact this couldn't be further from the truth. I've stated this before but the previous gamesas website was considered a failure by many because of it's lackluster performance which in turn showed in the small amount of traffic the site received.

Crytek understood this wasn't good enough and went about completely revamping the website in order to provide a better experience to the community. In my opinion, this has worked as far as media, news and content is concerned. I'm thoroughly pleased with that side of the site. I too agree that the "forums" need work and more functionality but as it's been mentioned time and time again, this is going to take time. It's an unfortunate reality that good things come to those who wait :)

I dont know what you call support, but i dont consider 2 patches and a hotfix great support, nor do i call lackluster punkbuster great support.

Enfadel you are right about the competition. Just another reason to delay. :)

If Crytek doesnt deliver the goodies with Crysis 2, im kissing them goodbye until a new IP shows up on the PC. Im giving Crytek one last chance to prove to me that they still have the ability to make great games. Playing Far Cry as a little kid is the only reason i have this faith in Crytek. ;)

I dont bash Crytek without good reason to. Their support for their games has been quite lackluster over the last 3 years.

-The Enfadel[/quote]Just trying to think back, and cant recollect any complaints aprt from the few requests for a more civil approach when posting, other then that, I'm still paitiently waiting,
for site changes, for the game, and for the console and PC, community to settle into this new enviroment.
My only complaint just now,
I cant blow up some stuff in the MOH beta. :D

I kind of miss the old forum :(
I miss Crytek christmas and easter

I miss Cry-mod posting (the person not the site) and otaku and eddy and us all having laughing good times full of mirth and cheer.

This new site is sterile and it makes me miss the cozy confines of our old home. Everything feels disconnected and impersonal. We're not a family anymore, we're having an awkward get together with distant relatives and friends we never see. I miss joking around with staff. I miss playing games of L4D with Crytek employees and forum mates. I miss the fun, I miss the personality and I miss the comfort of it all, the comfort of a home.

I just want to go home Crytek, I just want to go home.

Crytek could spend time and energy on this forum listening to a bunch of moaning trolls whine about the same thing over and over or they could spend more time on Crysis 2...I know what I would prefer :)

I want a more forumy forum :(
I also miss the Cry-people and user customisation.
But, Crytek is Crytek so they ignore EVERYTHING besides Crysis 2 (inc. eating and sleeping) until the game is released. Then after 2 months of epic patches and fixes they're all quiet, and in another 2 months they announce the next game :D

I think you're exaggerating a bit :) It's not like we've done that much together as a community. Most of the gaming failed due to the low amount of active users. If something worked, it was very, very rare. And the Cry-staff has always
always been very busy behind the scenes, like preparing the new website and and other stuff, so that they couldn't really post that often.

So I'm glad we're here now, because the user base has grown a lot.
