I tend to switch between long range and short range weapons constantly during play. This gives me grief cause I have to re-select the ammo type for my weapon EVERY TIME! Is there any way to make a permanent ammo selection for a particular gun in this game (or a mod that does this)?

for example: I prefer to use OC or MC energy cells for my plasma pistol, but if i have regular energy cells in my inventory, my gun changes will go back to that (regular) ammo type whenever swap weapons.

Don't carry the default type.

Yes, I don't carry the ammo i don't want, but unfortunately I pick some up once in a while from loot. When I switch weapons, i end up with just a few bullets, run out, and then have to swap ammo type... all during intense battles!

For weapons you load one round at a time, here's a little exploit for ya. Switch to the ammo type you want, then double tap the ammo swap hotkey, it'll automatically refill your ammo and play the finishing animation.

are you saying that it fully refils your ammo as in an unlimited ammo cheat.if so does it work on 360

It isnt infinite, but it fully loads your gun almost instantly.

ah i get what ya mean now like speeds up the reload.

*sigh* Still wondering how my AP bullets are crawling out of my gun and getting replaced by regular bullets on their own. Must be my magic backpack. lol

dont they stay equipped if you asign that weapon to the quick change coz they do on mine.
