Any way to get Callahan's Revolver without destroying the Ci

Post » Tue Nov 29, 2011 1:38 pm

I really want Callhan's Revolver, but I'll be damned if I'll kill my friends at the Citadel. Is there any way to get it without blowing it up or using console commands? I don't care what amount of "creative jumping" or glitching it takes.

If you don't care about how much glitching it takes then just use the console command.

Nope, not unless you use a mod that gives you access to the armory without blowing it up.

Does anyone know if the area exists in the game without blowing up the Citadel,or does it only appear ingame when scripted ?
There is a glitch out of the map,but I have not tried to see if the area is there.

Yep. It's an easter-egg in the game. That's from the movie Dirty Harry, where he claims that the gun he's holding (a .44 Magnum) is the most powerful revolver on Earth. (It was, at the time, now the most powerful revolver is Smith and Wesson Model 500 known as SW 500 for short)

Incidentally, the most powerful revolver in Fallout 3 is indeed, Callahans Magnum. A unique .44 Magnum. I guess the devs were Clint Eastwood fans. :P

Nice little easter-egg, IMO. :)

I thought the most powerful handgun was the Desert Eagle, but I don't know anything about guns. There's also supposedly incident logs/reports involving Callahan - does anyone know where I can find them (without having to play the game up to that point since I'm still very early in my latest playthrough)? I'm just curious to see what they say.

Damn. I thought they'd be on the Wiki or someplace. I tried looking them up myself but can't find them.
