You can get a refund from Steam, however you need to be assertive (but courteous).
Do NOT issue a chargeback, otherwise your account will be disabled entirely.
Do this, and then if they still won't give it to you, issue the chargeback. Then go to war.
Unfortunately, getting ripped off by Crytek/EA for $60 isn't worth losing access to all my other Steam games.
I tell you what though, this incident is going to make me think twice about purchasing any other games through Steam. Unless I know the game is solid beyond all doubt, I'm going with physical copies from now on.
