Any way to heal friendly NPCs?

Post » Mon Mar 07, 2011 1:31 am

FYI, I have the PC version. Just wondering if there's way to heal friendly NPCs whose health is low, especially NCR soldiers after a battle. Also a question: Does their health return to full after a night's sleep or whatever? Because it seems to me they don't ever heal up. And are there mods that allow this? What about console commands? Thanks for any help/replies.

Console command "ResetHealth" restore their health and limbs, sleeping won't heal them, but i think their health returns to full at cell reset (unsure of this, though). I don't know of any mods or other ways to hel them.

In Oblivion wounded friendlies was a good way to train your restoration skill ^_^

Exactly, I spent half of my playing time in Oblivion running around healing guards, townspeople, etc. Thanks for the info ToJKa. Maybe I'll use the console command and then waste a stimpack to simulate helping to heal them.

So I just type "resethealth" as I point to the wounded individual? No other command is needed -- "actor.resetheath" for example?

Just doing some checking and it looks like I need a ref id for the character whose health I want to reset. Do NCR guards all have the same ref id? And if so, what is it, anyone know?

You can just click on them while the console is open, all targeted commands are applied to that NPC as long as it's name is displayed. Clicking second time on it removes the selection, and it's name disappears from the screen. No need to use the prid command for this.

Except food will probably not heal them. You can sneak some stimpacks in to their inventory but they will use them only during combat. By which time it can be too late also. I wish there was possible more extensive interaction with NPCs. Like possibility to give them equipment (I like to arm and dress them ...currently just by stealing). Possibility to heal them would also be nice.
