I can run Skyrim perfectly with my FPS capped at 50, but on the first dragon fight, the one with the tower, random patches of fire everywhere just kill my FPS. The "Imaxdesired" thing seems to do nothing. Is there any solution to this? Thanks in advance.

Try to put Vsync=adaptive, and Triple Buffering on too. (if you have an Nvidia accelerator)
