Any way to turn off the cutscenes?

Post » Wed Jun 06, 2012 7:19 am

Sorry if this has been asked already,I couldn't find it anywhere. Is there some way to turn off the anoying kill animation cutscenes? It's rather irritating to have
to watch a cutscene every 5 secs when clearing a camp of 2 hit forsworn only to be killed by the one guy that's leveled and kills me in two hits.:D

No, there isn't. And Im pretty sure cutscenes only initiate when the last bad guy has been killed

Not at this time. I would expect modders to look for ways to do this once the CK came out.

I`ve been trying stuff but can`t find anything yet. Yea, looks like we`ll have to wait for modders.

I don't think it's possible to mod it. They're not "cutscenes" as in "FMVs", they're basically an animation, with the camera positioned differently from the usual place. Trying to "skip" it means you have to skip the animation altogether (or make it play faster), which I think is not possible. The best way is probably to remove the finishing animation altogether

Say, if I change that killmoverandom to 100, it means I get to witness the awesome move for every kill?

Haven`t you noticed where sometimes the finishing cutscene actually happens in 1st person? Maybe if younplay only 3rd you may not see it. I find the 1st person mode far more immersive, especially when chopping someone`s head off. This means that t should be possible to make this condition happen all the time. It`s just a case of finding how.

I have, and 3rd person or 1st person, they're all the same. The animation is not only on your body, but also on your target. Even if you skip your body's part of the animation, the target's (could be a dragon, a wolf, a human getting his throat sliced, etc) will still be stuck in that pose.

I don`t mind the pose being same, just in 1st person, but I may have to remove finshers until that`s fixed.

I think you're taking the wrong meaning. I'm talking about the idea of skipping the animation altogether. I'm saying that even if the animation for PC is skipped, the target's part of the animation will still play. Meaning if your finishing move is a dual-wield decapitation, while you're no longer trying to decapitate your target, they will still kneel down and their head will fall off on their own

And that assumes that you will still have control before their animation ends

The console commands for disabling the kill moves do not appear to work correctly, plus I've read that you have to input the command every time you start up the game.

I can confirm though that the 'No Kill Moves' mod works perfectly and completely disables all kill moves. I use it myself because I absolutely HATE this dumbed down 'action orientated' addition to the Elder Scrolls. I don't know what the boys from Bethesda were thinking!
