Came back from school and windows had corrupted, i tried to install windows 7 home premium 64bit again but didnt work. error message:

"Windows could not format a partition on disk 0. The error occurred while preparing the partition selected for installation. Error code 0x80070057"

Ive tried to delete, format and create new drivers in the setup window, but when i go onto the installing part, the same message occurs.

From what i can see and tell the cables are fine leading up to the HDD. Plugs are in fine on the HDD as well as the 4pin connector leading to the PSU.

if its a sata hdd have you tried cleaning the copper pins underneath the hdd where you plug your sata cable, ive had some thing similair in the past so wiped the copper pins and cleaned inside the sata plug that cured my problem at the time. hope that helps a little.

i used nail varnish remover to clean the copper pins and a very very mild abrassive to roughen the surface of the sata cable plug , both ends of sata cable plus check sata sockets for build up of any dust / fluff and clean with nail varnish remover.
or you can use acertone or alchohol wipes they both dry really fast a matter of seconds, not baby wipes though lol
the kinda stuff they wipe your arm with before you get a needle (ouch lol)

^ And/or try another SATA cable, and a different SATA port on the mobo.

Diagnostically:
* Can you make two partitions and successfully format the second?
* Is the drive a terabyte+ size? What brand?

ITS 1TB SATA III 7200rpm.

Yea, i can delete and make new partitions, but when i continue onto installation it still comes up with this error.
Ive also tried to use Profile CPUK from the CMOS settings in the bios. No luck.
And i think its by Seagate, or some ****?! :):D

Hi Guys,

thanks for your help. But even cyberpower ( whom i bought my computer from ) couldnt even helped me.
We tried MANY options but they ran out of options and dont know what is wrong because theyve never came across this issue before. ( the fact that after evreything the error still appears and i cant reinstall windows )
so weve arranged a delivery for them to pick up my computer and theyre gonna have a look.
Over past few months ive had to install windows 4times due to corruption, this shouldnt be right; so as a result they will also take a look at the whole computer and see if anything needs repairing or replacing.
Hopefully, that should sort things ! :) <3

Thanks again guys.

Google "getdatabackforntfs" I recovered 99% of .5 terabyte drive with NO PARTITION!

Works on corrupted or deleted data too.
