Any word from developers about performance?

Hello,

I'm having fps drops in certain areas like the swan monster area, diamond city ext, i would like to knowif anyone knows if the developers are going to fix all this. I heard Skyrim had similar problems too.

My rig:

i5 3470

GTX 970

8gb of RAM

Seagate 2TB HDD

Maybe my CPU is not enough? I heard ppl with i7 having these problems too though.

thanks

Your CPU is a bit weak yes, I have i7 3770k and 970gtx running with no "visible" fps drops - some areas do have slight more stuff going around so its not 120fps there but most of the time it's stable.

still for that I had to lower godrays to low and shadow range to medium.

What are the game settings you play on your self?

My game is a stuttery mess whether it be 60fps or 144fps.

Your CPU is good enough for Fallout 4. Obviously it's the games fault, so we should wait for a patch.

As you can see, the differences are pretty low compairing an i5-3470 vs i7-3770K

And yes, people with much more powerful CPUs have the exact same problem. Of course not all of them. Therefore it's difficult to pinpoint the problem. !!!

Yeah, the game has a lot of intrinsic problems right now that are unrelated to people's rigs. For example, I get pretty much flawless 60fps butter smooth gameplay in windowed borderless mode, but a jilted, stuttering mess in fullscreen mode. I have a GTX 980 and an i7 2600-K. There's no real good reason that both modes shouldn't be a smooth experience.

You might try switching your window/fullscreen mode and turning god rays quality down a notch from whatever you're using, as it really packs a performance wallop. Those two things cause a lot of stuttering for me in certain areas.

Hello,

Thanks for replys, i had shadow distance to medium now i set also godrays to low and i get average 60 fps but still with some fps drops sometimes. Thing is imo shadow distance and godrays add a lot graphically to the game, and i would like to set them at least to high, do you think ill be able to?

I have also a i5 3570k, do you think that if i overclocked that one i could get better results?

The performance leaves a lot to be desired.
