do any of you actually know what canon means?

A lot of that post is pure opinion, especially concerning "right direction". If Tim Cain and Chris Taylor came out and said that they didn't consider Fallout 3 canon I'd side with them, as they're the original creators of Fallout and thus I believe that their opinion outweighs Bethesda's. Bethesda may have bought the license, but they certainly didn't create it so their word isn't worth as much as the folks who actually created the universe you've fallen in love with. That's my two cents, anyway.

THat would be your Fanon though. Canon is now Bethesda's [censored].

That won't stop people from considering it non-canon if Chris Taylor and Tim Cain come out and say that they don't consider it as such.

That would be their fanon though.

I thought this thread would be about the camera. I'm pretty disappointed.

you know I can never understand why people argue over this crap. I mean cmon people, it is a damn game! It isn't real, it's made-up, fiction, alternate reality, for christ's sake people get a grip and just realize you don't need to get into an arguement over.

And if you guys don't think FO3 is canon then don't play. No one is forcing you

I assume this was apraked by the newly announced DLC involving aliens...just to clarify, Aliens do exist in Fallout canon (remember that bethesda owns the canon now by the way, and can do what they please with it).

I go to the lore forum now and then and run screaming. Still as a kid I probably memorised the Tolkien Companion

This thread is out of place and much too unparliamentary.

Arguing about Fallout canon in Community Discussion is not on. I'm going to move it, and I'm going to say only once that it needs to stay on track, and absolutely nobody is to run down other members or groups of fans for holding opinions you don't agree with.

Since the above instruction was disregarded by members posting immediately below it, this thread is closed for flaming and flamebaiting in lieu of suspensions.
