Yes, Darth Trethon, there's no one but Nazi scientists in the Institute and Synths are murderous emotionless killbot zombies. No children either.
We get it.
It's always interesting to see how players with black and white worldviews interact with games that portray things in shades of grey. Kudos to Bethesda for allowing that kind of approach, though.
Yes, these responses are really interesting. Especially the rooting for the most bigoted and single minded faction out there. Probably because it fits black and white quite nicely.
It's interesting the B&W folk prefer the Brotherhood over the Railroad in that.
I suspect it's the toys.
Not more just better. I find Fallout 4 to be the worst written as far as main story, sub quests, character development. I could get a better story from reading comic books. I really don't care what happens to any of the characters in the game to include mine.
Toys, and also style. Can't deny that the Brotherhood has some serious panache going for it. From the Prydwen to their way of dealing with the Institute, they definitely are the most impressive faction. And a lot of people probably got their understanding of the Brotherhood from Fallout 3, not 1, 2, or New Vegas, so they aren't necessarily keeping up with the Brotherhood's rather abrupt return to its roots in 4.
You know... I can't agree with you there. I think Fallout 3 wins the "worst overall story" competition by a landslide. So, pre-DLC, you're... providing drinking water? That's it? That's the grand adventure? I mean, yes, I get it's a call-back to the original Fallout, but even in the original Fallout the story ended up ultimately being about the Master and the FEV, not the water chip. Then, post-DLC, it's "Oh, and also, kill the Enclave. Again." And there literally was no character development in 3. Maybe that crazy old dude in Megaton who loves the Enclave and then gets imprisoned and hates the Enclave? That's about the extent of your character development. You get to meet your father for all of 45 minutes until he promptly dies to plot fiat.
The character development of 4 may not be great, but at least they tried. Though yes, comic books would still be a better story.
No need to fight , anyway would you like to see some other part of the world in a new DLC ?
I would like to see this one fleshed out. The only real gripe I have with this game is that the world feels kinda empty. Starting with loot and ending with interesting locations and factions.
I believe what the institute is doing is wrong, which is why I sided with the BOS, and yes the toys are cool. However, the institute wants to create an army of synths, and not because it's the best thing for humanity, they are doing it for power. I don't blame the synths themselves though. I actually feel bad for them. Well, the Gen 3's. It's not their fault they were created and are the unfortunate victims of a war forced upon them.
If you side with the Institute, well you are just easily seduced. The father, the sole survivor's son, is calculating and manipulative. I wouldn't put it past him to have downloaded his entire consciousness into synth Shaun so he could escape unharmed.
There are going to be unfortunate consequences with every faction you choose. As for the Minutemen the consequence is you have to put up with Preston Garvey.
I thought about this also, but I think they get everything they need when you hack their system. Physically securing the place would probably require more troops and resources than Maxson was willing to part with, and maybe he just doesn't plan on staying in the area that long.
I went back to Vault 111 and i noticed that the first pod is empty and the one where He/she was can be opened but he/she will remain frozen
What else is strange that he/she was shot and because of that got into the position that he is in now but the rest of them are in weird positions as well
He/She is dead, I opened their pod and took their wedding ring as a keepsake.
Unless the corpse was a Synth planted after you were refrozen or maybe they had already taken your spouse and Shawn and then used a Synth as a stand in for the staged shooting and snatch?
I very rarely pursue the main story line much in Bethesda games especially if I have to pick a side
I'll join Guilds if it gives me more quests but not if it limits choices later on.
So personally I woudl like to see more Stories rather than more Story, more side quests that provide some additional depth and color to the game world
