Anybody else feels the need for more story?

Post » Sun Dec 06, 2015 12:51 am

I feel like the main story line is lacking information and whatever you choose you still end up to the same ending

Don't get me wrong i love the game and I'm hoping the DLC's will add new interesting content to the game

It would also be nice to know what happened outside America, like what happened to Russia, China and how it affected them and at the same time get a perspective of how those nations evolved

America in this game is pretty high tech so it would be interesting to see what happened there

In the Museum of Freedom there is a picture depicting the events that led to the great war ( if we could take part in that too would be awesome) and there is a picture where a man dressed in power armor is holding a flag , meaning that there might have been some fights in space which we know nothing about

I would like more options in the story than just doing what the leader of that faction wants like speech checks to change their minds but the story does seem cut and dry to me (cannot spoil it because the thread is in the wrong section)

A lot of people felt the game was lacking in New Vegas-esque politics.

Or, and this is REALLY weird, Skyrim-esque politics.

Options people have suggested which should have been in the game:

* The option to send peace envoys to the other factions as Institute Director (even if they will be refused)
* More groups to make alliances with like the Followers of the Apocalypse
* Any effect from the other groups you're allying (The Atom Cats helping against the BOS for example)

* The lack of ending slides

* The lack of an Evil Questline (gunners, for example)

* The complete lack of a questline related to Quincy despite named characters and terminals.

* The wasting of the spouse

Over all story is fine but considering the size of this game there could have been many more unique options

Ending on BOS side was kind of awesome with Liberty Prime throwing nukes :)) but it was just to one sided, you only had 1 option in the game, destroy an other faction and in the end it doesn't matter

I want to be able to hold a meeting in the institute and pass a new law saying all synths must either have set commands and responces making them basic servile robots or be consitered as equals and given rights including the right to leave the institute of their own will free from attemptive capture or persecution. Because if we do not give them those rights they will be taken by force seen before in the civil war and it is only a matter of time.

Disobaying this law would be met with being expelled from the Institute to wander the Commonwealth with no previsions and no possibility of admittance back in.

I mean I am the director why can't I create a policy change from my stupid son?

I can about guarantee they won't touch the end game with DLC. That would force them to do 4x the content with most people only experiencing a quarter of it or less. I figure that eventually long after Fallout 4 will be ancient history they'll declare one of the endings cannon and move on from there. I also doubt that they will do anything as extreme and polarizing as an evil questline in DLC......probably one with plenty of options including the ability to side with evil, much as in the main game itself but nothing that forces you to be evil or not play. I would love for them to turn around and pull a shock surprise by revealing your spouse is alive.....maybe even make her a companion. Don't really care for Quincy though.

But why did he/she had to die in the beginning ? it makes things more tragic perhaps and it accentuates the feeling of being alone in a new world but still

I would like to see her/him revived too, Kellog or what ever was his name shoot him and then the door closed which could have saved his life (somehow) but I think the chances of that happening are very slim

Interesting idea, but from what I know fallout svcked in this matter, even if you become a faction leader , much like in skyrim it means nothing because you can't do anything with that power

Would be nice to order the faction to attack an other faction or such :)

Oh that feeling we've been through and adjusted to......that punch in the gut is history.....just imagine the insane excitement and relief at the possibility. How likely it is nobody really knows......I think either Bethesda have no intention of doing it or they've planned it all since the beginning. The whole thing is really odd because none of the other pods have power anymore and none of the others can still be opened but hers can be opened and has power.....add to that that when you read the status of all the pod occupants all except hers read "deceased" while hers reads "unknown". Cryo freezing would have prevented bleeding out if the shot wasn't fatal. So ultimately the hints are there so it's just a question of whether they are intentional and whether something is planned.....I think odds of this turning true are about 50%.

I do hope someone makes a mod or that bathesda makes a micro DLC for it, it is frustrating needing to choose between blowing up the institute or needing to go along with the stupid policies put in place.

Can some one explain why BOS wanted the institute destroyed when it was high tech and their main goal is to secure high tech?

It might seem like a stupid idea but after clearing out the vaults why can't you make some sort of settlements out of them?

cause them synths are against what nature intended, stairing into a woman's eyes stone cold sober while [cencored] her, nothing more beautiful than that.

But after killing the Synths from the institute why destroy the whole place? I'm pretty sure they would have found some use for it

Because they value human lives and the future of humanity a lot more than tech.

Look the brotherhood can't be stopped by logic or sense, that's for them pollotitions in Washington to ignore.

Well :( that's true, still would be a nice to own the place

I feel like the game is lacking depth in such things, like your the leader of the minute men but besides taking over a few settlements you don't really have any power

would make since if the railroad took it over, they actually like synths, why destroy their home? I guess they have enough problems keeping the synths they do manage to get out of the institute out of harm's way without having a factory spitting them out but still.

If I were a cynical man, I assume the reason Maxson doesn't want the Institute to be spared is if he doesn't kill every man, woman, and child in it as well as salt the Earth then it's very likely the BOS will find out they're just people like any other. That would raise some awkward questions as to why this genocide was necessary and what the point of it all was.

You know you should start a Deathclaw Preservation Society......you'd probably be more successful at arguing against the "genocide" of Deathclaws.
