Anybody else losing interest without no apparent reason?

Post » Tue Sep 20, 2011 12:00 pm

I bought Skyrim; that won't change, but yeah, I am getting bored.

I think it has to heavily do with all the spazzes there are on this forum who make pointless threads like "What [action] are you going to [perform] first?" 30x a day.

I'm not of the current generation, who can brush off a mindless iteration of the same damn question asked every hour on the hour.

As previously hinted, I think the best thing to do in order to keep me sane for Skyrim is to avoid these forums.

No and I think one of the big reasons is that I've been staying away from the forums. Today is one of the first days in quite a few that I've been making posts and I'm staying away from spoilers as much as possible. I have enough info. I've been playing a new game of Oblivion and still finding new things so I'm a happy little Hero of Kvatch. :)

Games are for fun. Maybe you have something on your mind you need to deal with? Or something exciting you'd rather deal with? Good luck if that's it. We'll be here when you return.

1)Stop feeling sorry for yourself.
2)Accept that life is just not that exciting.
3)Find something productive to do.

Thats a downer.....lol

I did pre-order it so I will have it on day one, but I am losing hype. I think there was just a little too much and now I just kinda want to ignore it for a while.

Just know that "clinical depression' was made up by drug companies to get rich off the weak and gullible.

I..Uh..what?

Do you like..wear a tin foil hat?

Actually never mind, while I am shell shocked by your ignorance, its my fault for even posting it.

I just come to the forums to see if there's any new info. For example today I found out there will be decapitation. If I see a topic that interests me I'll post but I dont really hang around or try to find new info myself. Keeps me looking forward to Skyrim without overdoing it.

Third'd
This forum is also a downer sometimes
Its nothing but ppl complaining its not morrowind
Then complaining its not daggerfall...
And everybody gloating about how much needs to be modded....
"hey no attributes?...well obviously they have no clue even though i've never played the game all the way through and they've not only played it all the way through.... they freakin made it.."
"oh well good thing i can help them by modding it with my genius"
Well....at least thats how half of'em come off as lol

If after that you still can't bare life, I suppose you could just play video games. Just know that "clinical depression' was made up by drug companies to get rich off the weak and gullible.

Yeah, because Internet conspiracy theories certainly are more trustworthy than physicians.

Nope, just as hyped as ever.

Same here. Sorry you're losing interest OP. Maybe like someone said, try taking a break from the hype-machine for a bit?

Eh, i've been feeling kinda similar, but i'll bet you are like me and are just getting kinda bored because now all the big info is out and the hype is gone and its going to be a few weeks. I'm sure once it comes out you'll be way back into it. Honestly its nothing but the same old threads now so nothing cool to talk about :P

He's trolling, best just to ignore him. Ragging on people for medical condiitons is the lowest of the low, and i'm pretty sure a form of abuse as far as forum rules go

So is there anyone else who feels like this? That your interest is just dying away without no apparent reason? Just curious..

Opposite from me.

Suffering from clincal depression I rarely ever get excited about anything, but there is just something about skyrim, watching the videos, reading about it, hearing the music. That makes me feel like a little kid on Christmas eve, Seriously cant wait until 11/11/11

The leaked pics and vids REALLY amped up my hype meter. And it's been CONFIRMED you can mod on a console, depending if the console makers allow it. But yes, my hype meter went down a bit too, I'm probably just tired. :sleep2:

Nah, in fact I made my 5th preorder of the game today... I decided I'd preorder the CE in store and give a deposit so I'm guaranteed it.

RIGHT HUR!

I think it has to do with these forums, they just sap the fun out of it. All these nitpickers, hardcoe gamers, whiners, casual gamer haters, trolls, debaters, anolyzers, and just some plain idiots.

These forums are just like listening to a college lecture about ice cream....

Just get off them for a while and wait a few hours and then go watch the demo. While watching you are gonna go I CANT WAIT TO DO THAT! and then suddenly you are all hyped up again.

Like all things desire and excitement wax and wane, don't make promises to yourself now about not buying it otherwise you might miss out on something you would otherwise enjoy.

I'm losing interest as well. And I left the boards for about a month....nothing. Still disinterested. But that's probably because Beth has been showing the SAME DAMN AREA sense Skyrim's announcement.

Am I still brimming with giddiness and excitement like I was when the game was first announced? No. But I'm still really looking forward to it.

I'm personally feeling like I'm probably not gonna buy Skyrim. And if I do, it will be on console which means no more modding for me. And this is not because I think Skyrim is gonna be bad. It will probably be much better than Oblivion.
So is there anyone else who feels like this? That your interest is just dying away without no apparent reason? Just curious..

Not, not really. I'm disappointed a little here and there but I'm still hyped and I still intend to buy the game. Maybe you're just growing out of video game or something?
