Anybody else losing interest without no apparent reason?

Post » Tue Sep 20, 2011 2:33 pm

I'm personally feeling like I'm probably not gonna buy Skyrim. And if I do, it will be on console which means no more modding for me. And this is not because I think Skyrim is gonna be bad. It will probably be much better than Oblivion.
So is there anyone else who feels like this? That your interest is just dying away without no apparent reason? Just curious..

It's because Bethesda keeps showing off the same demo area.

Wait until Bethesda starts their ad campaign. You will be like "woah! where did all this new stuff come from?"

I personally am dying to play it. I can't wait. I still play Oblivion. And am looking forward to traipsing around in the cold mountainous environments.

Also, point of interest. "without no apparent interest" is a double negative, meaning "with apparent interest". Just saying, :P

I'll second this. Stay away from TES news, videos, previews, etc. until the game goes gold.

Well, my interest in new revelations has pretty well ebbed. I'd rather discover things for myself in-game. :D The zombie chickens were somehow a turning point for me ...

Opposite from me.

Suffering from clincal depression I rarely ever get excited about anything, but there is just something about skyrim, watching the videos, reading about it, hearing the music. That makes me feel like a little kid on Christmas eve, Seriously cant wait until 11/11/11

Wha...no, relishing the anticipation as ever (though maybe not as much as some it would seem). Looking forward to other games next year just as well, just have to wait. Would never not be looking forward to it, I guess I'm a pretty patient guy, just wait and good things will happen (here endith etc etc)

I think it's fairly normal for many of us (people in general). I used to love gardening then one year I asked myself if I was having fun with it and my honest answer was no. Life is change.

This is not to say your gaming days are behind you, maybe they are, maybe you just need a break. There was a time I would have looked forward to the next Gear|Halo|CoD game, but at this time I couldn't care less about those.

When one chapter ends, another begins.

These are the dog days of the wait. A lot of us have been here everyday for 10 months now. We're right around 1 1/2 months to go and really, at this point, I just want the game. Once we get into October, it'll be just a month away and like Luke said, the ad campaign should be in full force.

Oh, there's a whole list of reasons why i'm losing interest. It's been one thing after another since the game was first announced.

I still plan on buying the game. I'm just not expecting it to be as great as I would've liked.

I sometimes get a "meh I shouldnt get so excited" feeling, but then I play the first part of the demo video, and when the player walks into Riverwood and that town music starts, I go insane again! I just cant WAIT to get Skyrim!

As stated before, just stay away from all this. In time your interest will come back. Especially when some new footage is out. :)

Third'd
This forum is also a downer sometimes
Its nothing but ppl complaining its not morrowind
Then complaining its not daggerfall...
And everybody gloating about how much needs to be modded....
"hey no attributes?...well obviously they have no clue even though i've never played the game all the way through and they've not only played it all the way through.... they freakin made it.."
"oh well good thing i can help them by modding it with my genius"
Well....at least thats how half of'em come off as lol

1)Stop feeling sorry for yourself.
2)Accept that life is just not that exciting.
3)Find something productive to do.

If after that you still can't bare life, I suppose you could just play video games. Just know that "clinical depression' was made up by drug companies to get rich off the weak and gullible.

I am very excited about the game, and this will continue to grow a little every
day until i finally have it in my hand. I have been through too many releases
of both games, and other things, in my life to not know how I will react during
these, 'dog days', as DB put it.
