Anybody Ever Enjoy "Fan" Products?

Post » Fri Aug 29, 2014 11:25 pm

I'm just a little curious here... Anybody here ever enjoy fan-made products? You know, products made by the fans and for the fans (usually for free). This could be physical products, fanfiction, fanart, and many other things... I am a little curious.

It is an obvious yes for me (as I've enjoyed quite a bit of fan-made stuff from MLP, Minecraft, Doctor Who, and others).

Secondly, what is (possibly) the biggest fan-made product you have ever enjoyed?

And lastly, are there any fan-made products which are WIPs that you keep an eye on?

I'm just curious!

As for the last two questions... The biggest for me would probably be the Fallout: Equestria books and a WIP product I am watching is Fallout: Equestria (the game)... Which I am excited for right now...

Spoiler
I watched some pre-alpha gameplay of FOE and got excited when I saw that the world DOESN'T freeze when using a terminal...

The player in the video used a terminal during the video and you can still hear NPCs walking about and one open the door and walked inside of the room, while the player is still on the terminal doing something... Bethesda, you better have this kind of stuff in Fallout 4!

There's some "fan" stuff I enjoy such as:

Fan made musical scores of popular movies and TV themes. There's people on YouTube that have keyboards and boy they can make music. There's also one guy on YouTube called OminousVoice who does themes from Doctor Who, Superman and more and he does an excellent job at it.

There's also a video on YT that has Doctor Who in style of a Japanese anime, it's pretty awesome.

Aren't mods fan made? So, the answer to that for me is, yes, yes I do.

I've been enjoying mods for about 11 years, so most certainly, yes.

Yes. Some of the Morrowind fan art is great. I've also seen fan made crafts, such as jewelry, that I definitely could consider buying.

And also mods, of course.

I enjoy mods, and YouTube videos, from LPers like Gopher. I also like Parodies from Gamerpoop. The earlier stuff was awesome, then there's the Senile Scribbles another parody of Skyrim. Still my favorite has to be Gamerpoop's version of Commander Shepard. Hehe.
