A country without snow? Well I hear Libya is nice this time of year. Would you like Bullets and Mortar shells with that blood and death?

But, since what happened a week or so ago, I don't want ANOTHER rain storm.

Not a country without snow--a country without heavy snow. And besides, there are a lot of other places that aren't so war-torn, where I could go to get away from snow...

I wasn't aware of strong storms in Alabama and Tennessee, but right now (here in New York state), it's raining harder than I've ever witnessed before with strong winds blowing, thunder blasting away, and lightning lighting up the sky. The lights keep dimming down for a few seconds before going back to fully-functioning, again. Also, there is a tornado watch in my area and, in a nearby county, a tornado warning. As far as I was aware, we don't get tornadoes in New York state, so this is pretty abnormal (They're bound to be weak tornadoes that won't cause much damage, I guess, but if the wind out there is indicative of anything... wow.). I hope the basemant doesn't flood.

Hail about 1 1/2 times the size of golf balls just finished beating the crap out of my house. Lots of thunder, still lightning like crazy, it's been very scary here this evening.

I've been keeping an eye on the flooding in Tennessee, because I have family there. In a way, I kind of wish that there would be some flooding here, just because my friends and I want to try liquid mountaineering and the closest lake is fifty miles away.

I'm from Tennessee, too, and it's still storming here! We have a creek running alongside our house that has now spilled over into our yard. I have a large and in charge lake outside of my window

New York gets anywhere from 2-20 tornadoes a year actually. Usually in the middle, then north and west of that line, in the state.

http://www.naturalnews.com/031025_natural_disasters_floods.html's a good article relating to natural disasters.

That is so true that it's both funny and tragic.
