Anyone else already "purchased" the game?

Post » Fri Nov 27, 2015 5:23 pm

Already put down 拢55 on my PSN wallet. That's how much a standard edition of a brand new game goes for on PSN.

Any other digital downloaders secured their purchase of the game yet?

No, and I'll be getting it from Amazon instead, it's at least 拢10 cheaper.

Pre-ordering is increasingly stupid, ill order it when im happy that everyone else has beta'd it for me.

Not if you want the pip-boy edition, for me I probably do as skyrim and preorder a couple of days before, if I can not play at release I order it in another store who is cheaper than steam.

Different strokes for different folks.

Pre-ordering for extra goodies when the price stays the same, and I know I'd buy it anyways? Sign me up.

Also - pipboy edition

Preordering means getting the lowest price from the merchant, and no pre paying either. At least from where I buy it is. I save money by pre ordering :)

I did the same thing with GTA V.

Bought the required amount of currency on Xbox Live for the digital download months in advance of release.

On release date I bought the physical copy of the special edition and began playing that, when the game was finally available for download from Xbox Live, I downloaded that and traded in the physical copy at the store for store credit.

If I have pre-ordered but still don't have the money to cover it. Will probably take me around 3-4 weeks to get it all together.

I preordered but wasn't given the option for the pip boy edition (and didn't find out about it until afterwards). No regrets though. I LOVE FALLOUT!

I paid in full for my copy. Gamestop was sold out of Pipboy edition when I went so I just got a "regular" copy. I figured the universe was telling me I didn't need the clutter. I prefer to go to brick and mortar store to buy. Plus they are planning a midnight release, so I should be playing soon after midnight. Already know I will be off work the next day, and maybe two days.

I've never gotten a discount on a pre-order.

Personally, I'm waiting for them to announce 1) system requirements, and 2) pre-order incentives, if any. (Which I likely won't care about, if it were done like FO:NV's. Why would you want Extra Bonus Starting Equipment in a game that's all about scavenging for survival?)

I will likely pre-order it at Gamestop (so that they actually get in a PC copy, since they don't stock PC anymore). If not, I'll just pick it up from the shelf on release day at Best Buy (like I did with NV).

While I think preorders probably aren't good for consumers on whole, the reality is that it's not like the price is going to drop or drop much in the months after. You would have to wait maybe three or four months for any price drop and it won't be a big drop. Some major bugs should be fixed in that time but there will likely still be some bugs anyway though hopefully small. So if you are going to get it within the first couple of months, as much as I think preorders don't do consumers any favors, it still won't matter much if you get it within those first months because it's the same fiscal quarter. If you want three or four months then maybe that is different but still not that much. Also, with a game like fallout 4, sales will be so high that unless the masses wait on buying it, it will not make a different at all.

I am kinda short of extra cash so i just wait and see.

There is literally 2 or 3 other hobbies demanding my extra resources.

PS4 ( within this year)

Fixing car ( no idea how much that will cost)

maybe a new pair of shoes or jacket

gloves for winter

some rum and other booze ( playing is thirsty business)

Meeting relatives and hotel fees, eating at hotel.

random shopping

etc...

So fallout 4 is not really that high on my list.

Hmm, yeah, I've never pre-ordered a game online. If I care enough about a game to pre-order/get it day 1? I'm gonna want to get it right away, not be subject to shipping issues. :)

(Only thing I've ever actually pre-ordered online was the Frozen Blu-Ray from Best Buy.... which arrived three days after it showed up in stores.)

Actually just got my pip-boy edition good to go today.

Feeling pretty lucky there was a re-re-stock here considering the struggle I had to go through yesterday only to find them all sold out and on e-bay for $350.00+
