Anyone else bored with Brink now?

Post » Thu May 19, 2011 4:27 am

I am really bored with Brink i just play with friends if we have 5 people but if any less i can't its too boring i've tried online it just seems like im really good at the game as medic because i usasually have most kills and then have alot of xp because of revives how i got lvl 20 quickly and then on my 2nd guy im level 11 Eng main abiltiies and its just plain boring wasn't as great as i thought when i was posting a week ago (Playing on 360 competitive Gametype) Anyone else feel this way? Campaign Ive played through multiple times and what-if missions if i would have to say so myself Cod may not be about teamwork but has some replayabilty to it to where it fun unlike Brink. where in brink ive played campaign Numbers of times with friends and had fun but now suddenly boring since Medic i leveled up quickly and as ENg its a little Slower

Not even close for me. Ive barely done my well rounded guy and my full bore solider. I still have plenty of time to dedicate to this game. Hell, I haven't even learned half of the maps yet. Sure I know the basics of them all but there are so many different ways to do things I honestly cannot see myself putting this game down until Skyrim comes out.

So you played ONE out of FOUR classes all the way through and got bored with it. I see. Did you experiment with Freeplay at all? The only boring factor of this game is the small number of maps, which I'm sure will be addressed in the first DLC. Other than that try playing the other classes. Each one has a distinctly different game play challenge.

Give it a month. Sheesh. Lag isn't that bad if you play competitive 5v5.

I haven't given in much play time yet. Have finals this week.

I can only play co-op with another friend. And it's not much fun against bots.

It sounds like the OP is co-opping vs AI? I don’t know how you could handle that to be honest. The game is designed to be played against humans, anything other than is just not worth the price of admission imo.

Nope. Just got into the phase of me and my friend trying to beat each other with only bots as teamates. Apparently, the team with the host on it has better bots. :spotted owl:

This game fools you into thinking you've completed it much earlier than other games, bad company has medals for guns, insignias, longer completion time achievs.... but all those are are little trinkets. I've been playing BC2 since release and still do today, and still will even though I've finished all the medals and whatnot. It's the same thing with this game, just because you can get all the achievs easily and the game caps your level at 20 doesn't mean you are close to done. What it means is, you can be if you want.

If you just want to play games for gamerscore, trinkets, and medals there are lots of games out there like that. IMO the game hardly starts until you get to 20, that's when everyone FINALLY has all their abilities and the game gets much more complex. I think some of the guns should be tweaked and we need some new maps but the game is just about letting you play how you want. Every game has been completely different online for me, I can't wait for the servers to be stable enough for 8v8 on xbox.

Pretty much this.

Sorry OP, but I LOVE it, and I'm not getting bored any time soon. You seem to be outnumbered here.

You should play the maps like you would any other objective for a FPS. You want to play demo on COD or something, it should be the same thing. Rank up all your classes, make some cool characters and play with your friends. You won't get bored anytime soon.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, gaming has changed. Way back when I was playing games on N64 or PC, there were NO achievements. I played Golden Eye 64 till my eyes bled. Why? Because the game was unbelievably addicting and fun.

So you got all the achievements, you got to the highest level, the game won't give you anymore cookies now and that's boring? I don't even really understand the point of achievements. Playing games is purely for the entertainment, isn't it? Since when do you need to be rewarded for entertaining yourself? If you have a level 20 character, that's where everything should really start. Like one of the people who responded said, now that you have all the abilities, you should be able to enjoy a more complex dynamic. If everyone is level 20 in a game, I would expect that to be more interesting than a game with mixed levels.

I was level 20 Friday Night i think, played most of Thursday Night and all of Friday pretty much.
Just couldnt stop, the game is to awesome.
We have a Steam Group going, our own Server, Teamspeak, Homepage is in the making.

There are so many more tactics to discover, at least one more level 20 to level until i can even begin to really play the game to its fullest.
So in short, i am not even close to beeing bored.

The Gatling isn't as good as you think. I personally prefer the Chinzor MG. Good damage and good spread.
