Anyone else can't play/buy Skyrim for some reason?

Post » Fri Nov 18, 2011 6:38 am

I was planning on playing it this weekend but had to do homework instead. :flame:

I seriously hate the unreasonable amount of homework my teachers just dump on me thinking that I dedicate my life to their course.

I'll be playing around mid-December when I get out of university for the holidays. I cannot let myself even think about playing Skyrim right now with the school work I've got. I will be purchasing what's left of my new build near Black Friday, so I'll have my computer soon!

My Skyrim is in my room waiting for me to play it,but I can't since I have LOTS of schoolwork and exams to do.

I only got up to level 6 and killed my first Dragon,it was pretty epic, but I spent most of my time just staring at everything and taking my sweet time looking at water and stars and mountains and being amazed by how nice the game looks.

This is gonna be one LOOOOOONG game. I just got to Whiterun, haven't even gotten a chance to explore any other cities.

Well my best friend and I have been obsessed with Morrowind since we were in 3rd grade, then Oblivion in 7th, and so forth. So we have promised eachother that we will not watch videos, watch our friends play, or learn any new info about Skyrim until the day we get it which will be Christmas. It's just a weird thing we do. Brotherly love

Me as well! I got the game but I can't play till next Wednesday. And so until then, and as I have done since the game was announced months ago, I refuse to look at a single video of the game. I want this game to just be a surprise in every way possible.

I still have to finish Oblivion's Main Quest (see my signature!), so Skyrim will just have to wait...

I had this same problem. I had a paper due today which required hours of reading over the weekend. I got the game at midnight and played for a good bit before starting my paper though. Today I was able to just jump in and start playing after school and I played for about 6 hours and I'm burned out from the game (not in a bad way). When I turned off my xbox I had about 10-12 quests that I could do. Finding things to do is not hard to do and it's keeping me quite occupied. I'm loving it.

I havn't had a paycheck since late August and I'm not getting one anytime soon, and losing my house has definantly knocked my priorities straight and this unfortunately will have to wait until Christmas or Summertime next year. :sadvaultboy:

I haven't gotten a copy for a lot of reasons.

Its still expensive to buy
I would have to upgrade my computer’s CPU and graphics card and they are the most expensive components of a computer. Minimum I'm looking at several hundred dollars to get my computer up to scratch with the recommended PC settings.
Its nearly the end of my IT course and I have a lot of work to do.
I’m doing Nanowrimo this month
I have books to read.
My Xbox died long ago and I don't want to play it on console anyway.

When have enough cash to upgrade my two year old computer and its on sale on steam then I'll get it. To be honest I've done well with my computer, at the time it was considered very furure proofed but I didn't know back then that most games two years later would need a quad core processor to run properly.

Sadly, i don't have an X-Box, or Playstation. I do have a computer but it is so slow and low end that Skyrim would never work on it.

Well hello there, fellow passenger. I thought I was the only one on this boat. Nice to have some company. Yeah, I'm going to have to wait for a new PC in order to play Skyrim. In my case, It's likely going to be at least eight more months before that happens.

Me, because Santa hasn't came down my chimney yet, or the any of the doors.
I'm waiting until Christmas to get it, or maybe a little after, that way there will have been an update or two to squash out some bugs, if there is any :)
