Anyone else can't play/buy Skyrim for some reason?

Post » Fri Nov 18, 2011 1:51 am

Sadly, i don't have an X-Box, or Playstation. I do have a computer but it is so slow and low end that Skyrim would never work on it.

So i can't play Skyrim, and i'll have to wait for a LONG time before i can buy an X-Box AND Skyrim :(
Anyone else have a similar problem or am i alone?

I can't play it, but that is because I don't want to play it.

My ps3 broke last week, so no I can't play. Trying to get enough money together to buy a new PS3 soon though -- if I'd have known my ps3 was going to break I would'nt have wasted my money on rent.

Joining the gang, I'm unsure my computer will run it smoothly. It fulfills the minimum requirements but not the recommended. But also, I've had major issues with my display driver and blue screens with games even like Assassins Creed or Mirror's Edge or Mass Effect 2. Don't want to invest in new hardware yet as I am hoping for a new camera. So, I might grab it when the price has come down, that way I won't have lost a lot of money if it doesn't work :D

I'm missing some crucial parts to the new PC I'm building that I was supposed to have on Thursday - at the latest. The parts were first delayed to Friday, then to today, then today, they said to try again on Monday. First, the warehouse was inaccessible because they were moving. Now, the store selling them is having a huge "grand opening" of their new store/warehouse, and my parts are in that warehouse. Of course, it being a huge all-weekend opening event with tons of sales, the place is crowded. There's a line of about 4h just to get into the building, not to mention how long it'd take to wait in line at the warehouse pick-up area. My CPU, PSU and mobo are at the far end of that line. :(

So yes, I'll join the delay club. I'm not as pissed off about it as I was yesterday, when I was pretty much fuming. :P I'll have plenty of time to play Skyrim later, and now I have the possibility of studying for upcoming exams while I wait, which I never would have done if not for the delay.

The game is staring at me from across the room, though. It wants to be played. Like. Now.

It's stuck in a UPS center 20 miles away for the whole weekend.

Same. Waiting on patches and mods.

The fact that I'm mostly broke and can't afford another $60 pre-order might have had something to do with this, too. :P

Like a few other people here I'll be waiting for either a patch that'll correct a lot of the PC problems I've been hearing about or a really good Steam deal. If the Steam deal comes first it will not reflect well on Bethesda.

Waiting to build a new PC. It's not a big deal though, I'll certainly build one for Thief 4's release, so I'll probably only play Skyrim around then.

Money is too tight for me right now so ya can't buy it and already spent B-day money on the CE of SWTOR so no Skyrim for me. Probably just as well never got into it and will probably save my money up for FO4 when it comes out.

Need a new laptop. Buying it in spring 2012.

Can't build a PC since budget allows only one computer and I do a lot of travel between my two homes.

Can't afford it. I'd rather get it a bit cheaper anyway.

My good computer is still in storage, so no Skyrim for me. I probably wouldn't have the money anyways, and with SWTOR coming up soon I dont have the time either.

Still I'll get around to playing it at some point.

I'll get it for the xmas hols (and unlike those other people who said the same thing but gave in - I'm keeping my word. :P). That way, mods will already be out, I'll have more time to play, and hopefully it won't interfere with my studying.

I bought "Oblivion" when it came out and had to wait three years to play it, since my PC turned out to be unable to handle the graphics. I installed "Skyrim" yesterday, though, and I can say the game's worth it when you're eventually able to play it. I hope it will work out for the posters in this thread. The game's addictive, so don't let your studies suffer.

How is it for the PC? I was looking through the Skyrim forums and people were saying that the PC version felt "unfinished".
