Anyone else going to start a new game when ALL of the DLC's

Post » Sun Aug 07, 2011 2:39 pm

Well, as the topic name says, is anyone gonna start a new file after all of the DLC are out? Since we'll have access to quite a few more levels and perks, I'm sure some people might want to plan their level ups differently. Who knows, we might even get an "Almost Perfect" perk in one of these expansions...

If you want to be HONEST then get ready for HONEST Hearts coming out soon......or later.
I'm not gonna start new game after the Ultimate Edition (As I call the release with all the add-ons with it. You can't call it the GOTY Edition when it didn't win GOTY or wasn't a nominee) comes out, I've already started enough new characters and I will just continue with my highest level character and get new perks with him.

All signs point to yes. I plan on starting a new character once the patch hits the 360 so more then likely I'll have created at least one new character when all the dlc is said and done.

Yeah, I've been saving my playthrough on very hard/hardcoe mode for when they're all out.

Yes, but not for the reason of all DLC's being released, I'll start a new character if I got a new idea for a character I want to try out

I went ahead and started a new character for Honest Hearts, I finished Dead Money because I don't want to deal with that [censored] later on. (I still have 37 bars, bam [censored]!)

I agree with you here. As with Operation Anchorage in FO3, Dead Money is the DLC in FONV I might replay once more and then never play again. It was interesting the first time but not interesting enough to play it over and over again.

Well they could call it R(PG)OTY Edition, they did win that award.

Maybe, I gotta see how the rest of the DLC is first.

But I imagine I might be sick of New Vegas by then. And there are a few others games on the horizon that I'll be busy with. L.A. Noire in May, RAGE in September and Skyrim in November. And maybe a few others in between.

Wait. What? You mean RPG Of the Year? Mass Effect 2 won that award.

Probably, I did start a new character after Dead Money for PC was announced, but that was mostly for the 35 level cap. It just to see the differences between a 35 level cap character to a level 30 then 35 one.

Yes, but only when all the bugs are fixed. Had to install a mod toxic a bug where in dead money after I left, it would be like I was in 30 toxic clouds with my health draining

New Vegas won Rpg of the Year from PC Gamer. You do know there are more than one place to get these awards?

Its a massive RPG and certain exploits don't show up right away (I am on the PS3 so no mods, which makes me love exploits). I will still play on finished characters but I love making new ones.

Not going to start a new game. I'd like to see how many hours I can actually put into the same character that I have now (currently 139). When the next DLC comes out I'll probably play it then put the game down till the next one comes out. I've got Fallout 3 I can still play, as well as Oblivion and Morrowind I can go back to while I wait on the remaining DLC's release...assuming that Skyrim hasn't been released yet; if that happens all bets are off.

After everything is released.. yes.. I will start a new game. However.. I saved my old save on the internal hd.. When each DLC is released I will boot up my old save and go through the new DLC with my old character. I already have over 300 hours with that character.. don't know why I'd delete her. After I go through the DLC with my old character I will decide where it best fits in with the story, how I traverse the world and where in a new playthrough I think it'd best be served to play it.

I'll probably also do the same thing I did in F3.. once all the DLC's are out i'll go through all the DLC's without touching the main story line just to see what level I end up at. I think in F3 you end up at level 23 or 28 just by doing all the DLC's you could..(obviously couldn't do the end one before the main story.) It's been awhile since I played it. Then all it took was doing some quests in the Wasteland Survival Guide to max out your character. The game gets really boring after that.

I've started and restarted this game so many times it makes me wanna cry. Other than that i've already got a character started that i'm hoping i'll use for all the DLC's. I just can't play this game for a long time unless theres something new i'm doing. So my main and this second char are all i'll ever do once all the DLC is done i'll probably never touch this game again unless I get it on PC with alot of mods.

Just so were clear that's a No.
