Anyone else have Ria as a follower?

Post » Thu Dec 15, 2011 4:13 pm

I benched Lydia and brought Ria out for a couple quests. I swapped out Lydia's gear and gave Ria a full set of Ebony Armor to include Ebony Axe and Shield. Immediatley I noticed that Ria prefers one-handed enchants over the bow enchants that Lydia preferred.

Anyway, So we get to the dungeon and we encounter a handful of bandits outside the entrance. I summon a Frost Atronach, reequip my shield, and charge into battle......but wait... Ria is on her knees already!?!? WTF!? How is she down already in full ebony armor and shield (all enchanted)

Anyone else using Ria and if so, how is she faring for you??

She's low level and companions' skills don't scale with you. So she svcks.

Well that would definitely explain it. Thanks for the info.

If you're on PC, http://uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:Followers#Follower_Stats.

If you have an attachment to a certain follower and wish to continue to use him or her after he or she has become obsolete, you can update his or her stats by dismissing the companion, then opening the console, clicking the follower in question, typing "disable" and then typing "enable" without the quotation marks, then ask them to rejoin. The follower's inventory will remain unaffected, but his or her stats will all be updated to match the player's current level.

I never really used companions on my first character. But Recently, I unlocked
Spoiler
Cicero and Two Brotherhood Initiates
as companions. and Let me tell you, just by giving them a single, smithed dagger. At level 62. They two shot me.

I'm not sure about anyone else.. but I like to punch my companions until they attack me, to figure out if they're worth the hassle to bother with :P I got a dagger in the gut for my efforts. I was overjoyed!

I do know, a Female Orc, over by Mortak? its the western most city, thats dwarven ruins. But theres a Female orc in the Orc Hold north of there, She was my Favorite companion. Once I paid off her Dowry, She uses Heavy armor, Likes to use bows to start off combat, then switches to a one handed weapon and shield when things get close

It was a sad day when she couldn't keep up with me. Almost Married her, and Orc. Almost

Unfortunately I play on the PS3 but thank you for the link it was extremely helpful. Markath is the only city I haven't zoned into yet. Looks like I have plenty of follower options there.
