Anyone else having issues with random freezes and crashes?

Post » Fri Nov 27, 2015 7:09 pm

Im asking because I am getting them big time. Reinstalling. Clearing cache nothing has helped and its making the game unplayable. And only the game does it. And I cant go more than 5 minutes without a random freeze. And I thought maybe the Xbox was acting up. But I can play ESO with no issues at all. And that is a graphics intense game. So I am not understanding why that will work but this game just has more issues and bugs than Rosie ODonnell with crabs

When I went into the Corvega Assembly Plant, the game started to lag quite a bit and then it crashed when I took out the first raider scum that was in the next room.

I crashed once so far jumping down from the museum roof after getting the power armor and minigun. Just as I hit bottom it crashed out of the application.

I haven't had one crash yet ( playing on Xbox One). That is with playing a marathon session on the release day. If this had been F3 I would have crashed at least 3-5 times by now. Of course after posting this, tomorrow when I play it will probably crash 10 times.

I've had 1 or 2 CTD in about 15 hours of gaming. One time I was shoving Nuka bottles into a machine and the physics went nuts for a second and dropped me to desktop. I was streaming the game at the same time, so that might have had something to do with it.

No freezes at all so far.

I have had one crash on PC because my CPU overheated due to me not tweaking my fans. But other than that, no crashes or lags or freezing.

I have had only one CTD and it was because my GPU got hot after 10 hours of gameplay.

No crashes in-game, but I have had some odd system behavior after quitting. (like, my desktop freaked out when I exited and then tried to look at my screenshots in Steam. Or yesterday, when the Start button wouldn't do anything when I clicked it.) Only other change I've made was to finally update my graphics drivers on Monday - I'd still been using v14.something.

So far the only the issue I've noticed is when I sit my character down & it freezes when he gets back up again. Its like its thinking about 1st 3rd person perspective for a long moment. Oh and the classic problem with all the big Bethesda games of items sinking into the ground or any hard surface. (insert rolling eyes face)

Around 10 crashes with 30 hours total. I've come to expect it.

One crash early on outside that may have been related to how long I had played or the fact that that I had diferent radioes playing, and one from sumoning rediculously large numbers of mobs to duke it out in diamond city.

No more crashes for me so far but 2 more glitches. One Piper ended up on the roof of a house and I had to fast travel to the location where I was to get her off. And Two Dogmeat dissapeared when I took Piper on. He has reappeared for the quest to go after Kellogg and I'm hoping for the best when I release him since he's not really a companion at this point. I'm hoping I can send him to red rocket this time. At least it will be quicker to search.

I feel like my perks aren't keeping pace with the monsters though. My gun builds are not bad but I haven't been able to get the damage power I need to kill the non trivial enemies. My rebuilt laser musket kills them but takes too much ammo. My 10mm has taken over for my .38 in close combat and it's pretty good but not against armored targets. The .308 is great if I have some range. I'm slowly building up my armor too. I have a feeling I'll have to use the power armor for the glowing sea. I hate to do that because it's so slow but I probably need the protection too so maybe not a bad use for fusion cores.

No crashes so far but have ran into framerate drops when fighting many enemies, going into buildings and exploring the outskirts of diamond city...hope they fix our optimize the performance of the game.

Yes!! I'm having the exact same problem. I'm not very far into the game (3 hours) but I can't go more than five minutes without the game freezing and crashing my xbox.
