If the reveiws are positive, then yes, eventually. I'm still a fallout fan through and through, and I'll squeeze a few more playthroughs out of New Vegas before I invest in RAGE.

I'll be RAGing on October 4, around 1 am.
This is good to hear, the RAGE board is kinda dead. Which is sad, I was on the RAGE boards since before ID got bought out be Zenimax.

heres the sad thing, i believe maybe 80 to 90% of the posters on here play FONV on the PC. im gonna be truthful with yal and yal can flame away, but FONV WITH mods is wow freaking awesome, FONV without mods was a huge letdown. Obsidian hands down is freaking great with structured story lines where as Bethesda pretty much had ya fill in the pieces with what u wanted which is great for sandbox. Reason why i said it was a big letdown was for quite a few reasons, reasons i might add i no longer have BECAUSE of mods. Graphics were better on the previous FO, there was alot more landscape detail in previous FO, no random encounters , FO3 felt more alive in so many ways such as sitting down in a town or area and just listen to all the scrips npcs would converse with one another which was lacking in this game. Enemies not scaling with npc lvl. theres abit more just cant think bc of what time it is at night. I will say this though FONV was defintely taking steps in the right direction and improved on quite a bit, it just seems the areas they took a step forward in, the areas they didnt really touch they were taking quite a few steps back. I love FONV with mods, but unfortauntly its only got so many replay values because a majority of the game is set in stone, where as alot of people including myself is still enjoying the hell outta FO3. Not bc FO3 has a better story...psst u crazy, got better weapons...nope they beat us in that, to me its because of 2 reasons. 1 random encounters, replaying a game and having either new stuff happen to you or have it happening at a new area and having a ton...a TON of areas to explore that are fleshed out with little storylines hidden in them of days long past or just connecting to an area. Long story short, i believe its the dlcs and the mods that really have made this game last this long with quite a few of us even if we wont admit it. FONV is a great game, but i would have to put it right with FO3, maybe a step below, because even though it did do great improvement in certains areas, the lack of random encounters and "dugeon" crawling . FONV with mods, freakign fantastic with mod creaters picking up the slack, FONV without mods feels more liek a step behind FO3.

Not unless I hear really good things about it. I like post apocalyptic games, but nothing about RAGE has really caught my attention as anything other than a Fallout clone except with more attention to FPS gameplay and less to roleplaying.

Well, it will be a game with a Fallout-ish setting, fantastic performance (graphical and otherwise) that should be almost bug free. That's nothing to sneeze at. And it won't be any more of a Fallout clone than Fallout is a Mad Max clone.

I think Fallout fans have over romanticised Fallout to a large extent. This is my favorite video game series of all time, but every single one of the games has been poor in a number of areas. Fallout 1 & 2 had ludicrously imbalanced skills, bad graphics even by the standards of the time (compare Fallout to Baldur's Gate,) an engine that didn't handle fights with large numbers very well, way too much save and reloading to defeat tough opponents like the first Deathclaw in the Hub, etc. New Vegas is the buggiest video game I've ever played, far worse even than Daggerfall, has a silly counter-clockwise path instead of free exploration . . . and I still think it's the best game in the series.

Rage will be more stable, polished, efficient, well-designed and better looking than any Fallout game ever made. I'm going to give it a chance.

I hope Bethesda outsources Fallout 4 to Obsidian. The writing in comparison to Fallout 3 is better, and a lot of updated mechanics Obsidian brought in were great. We just need better QA, and y'know, maybe an engine that isn't Gamebryo or some other derivative like the one they're using for Skyrim, because I have a feeling the Skyrim engine may also be as buggy.

your right, i mean even the trailer they made for fallout 3 kicks arze!

Indeed I am sad to see Fallout come to an end... for now. I will be waiting and anticipating the next Fallout game. I have a special place in my heart for Fallout. Right next to Half-Life. I will also feel very upset to see Half-Life to end, but I digress. My point is: yes, I am very bummed to see it end. I will play it time and again, as I have with Fallout 3. Now that I have a capture card, I will do a playthrough as well and put it on YouTube. I don't see it dieing, however. It will last a long time. For many years. As will Morrowind, Oblivion, Fallout 1, Fallout 2, Fallout Tactics and Fallout 3. It will all last for a long time. Because they are all amazing games. But all great things must come to an end. Fallout: New Vegas has reached it's end - to an extent. I can see myself playing this game many years in the future and having a smile. Remembering the nostalgia and walking the Mohave at least one more time.

I'll go along with this as probably true.

I play it on the 360, and there's just....I don't know. It has almost no sense of wonder and exploration for me, unlike F3. And most of the 'quests' were just ping-pong step-and-fetches. With all the loading screens and bugs, those simply weren't fun. Period.

Overall the game was ok, and I had fun. But the truth in the end is that I can't wait to play F3 again. Last-minute, super-cool DLC aside (OWB), I have no desire to play NV again. I sure hope I like LR as much when I get back home.

That's my 360 perspective...
