Anyone Else Love the Lincoln Repeater?

Post » Tue May 17, 2011 12:52 am

The title is pretty straightforward, and is similar to another topic I have posted: is anyone else a major enthusiast of the Lincoln Repeater? I used this gun as much as possible and it never led me wrong.

It's my favorite weapon in Fallout 3, however the ammo is rather scarce...

I like it but I prefer the Backwater Rifle. It's much easier to find ammo for and it doesn't look as if its covered in mold the way Lincoln's Repeater does.

The Backwater and the Repeater are both very nice - I actually think the Repeater is a very nice looking weapon, and I love the musical sound it makes in VATS. I'm a lever gun nut anyway, so my opinion is going to be biased.

I like the BR as well. Only problem was when I ran out of lever actions to repair it with after I left PL, I had to put it into a locker :P I'm sort of obsessive about keeping my weapons and equipment in super good condition...

The one advantage Lincoln's Repeater has here is that you can repair it with ordinary hunting rifles, which are everywhere in the Wasteland. It doesn't make any sense from a gun purist's POV, but there ya go. And it's not like that's the only firearms gaffe in this game anyway.

One definite advantage NV has over F3 is that Obsidian has a lot more knowledge about guns than Beth, and it shows.

Yes I use it extensively when playing FO3. It is probably my favorite gun in the game.

One of my favourites too, I like to have it equiped along with paulsons revolver once the higher level / late game bad dudes start showing up. Both use .44 so I usually need to take a trip or two to the amo press to keep stocked up.

I love the Lincoln Repeater

Depending on my character and what my character is doing, it is possibly my favorite weapon in the game. Even before I get it, I try to stock up on .44 ammo. Because most of my characters rely heavily on snipping. And it's a great snipping weapon. I also like the sniper rifle and the Victory Rifle version, but in general I love the Lincoln Repeater.

I love it, but ammo is a definite issue with it. I think I may try using it again next time I replay F3, since I downloaded the Pitt, and therefore have access to the ammo press.

It, the Xuanlong, and the A3-21 PLasma rifle are my three favorite F3 distance weapons. Pair any of them with the Fisto or the Shishkebab, and you're ready to stomp some muties.

Well, I heard about it, it was told to be a really good rifle. I never used it or seen it myself, i am not into ammunition rifles myself unless it is an emergency, or i am in an area that i cannot use my ol' Gauss Rifle, so onto the mess hall.....

(seriously, i never used it, i just gave it to Hannibal, i never was that big of a fan of it.)

Only when the Lone Wanderer has sought out and taken up the arm of the Righteous (the Lincoln Repeater) can the cleansing of the Capital Wasteland truly begin.

I agree with Gator, such a nice chime as it fires. Its the only musical weapon. :D

@ Skirt: You can always fix it with alien epoxy from. . .[shudders]. . .MZ

I still try to stick with the plain old hunting rifle though – it’s one of the few weapons that actually feels like a real weapon. . .know what I mean?

I like it, but unfortunately I'm a terrible shot so I usually have to rely on automatic or quick semi-automatic weapons to survive.

I love it. I often carry it with me, un-hotkeyed as a backup. I'll swap out my trusty Hunting Rifle if things get too messy (Which happens a lot because of the mods I use.) Can't wait to wander into downtown DC this playthrough and pick it up.

That I didn't know. My character had stocked up on the crap but I lost all my save files. What was the use of all those stupid alien gems I picked up, too? :P

When talking to friends, I refer to the gun as Mikroaaltopyssy (Microwave gun) because it reminds be of a microwave oven :D

Er, no, it's too slow. It's quite powerful, but I prefer the Scoped Magnum it's faster.
