I'm kind of pissed that you have to wait till level 5 for heavies and level 7 for lights.

The devs said you will level up fast throughout the campaign or something like that.

I think they want you to get a feel for Medium, so that when you turn light, you could be like, "Wow, these Lights are really, really weak, lol!"

Nope, you have to get to know the game works before you get advanced. Let's you learn before dying repeatedly

Yes and no. Yes since I have to wait to get light. No because its good everyone starts the same and then can choose to go heavy or light. Also will hopefully stop that initial rush of lights.

Kinda that....I like to think of lvls 1-7 as training, if you still can't play by then return the game.

Mediums still offer plenty of movement options compared to other FPS games.

I'd rather get used to the controls as a Medium before moving into Light, personally.

Wouldn't say mad, although I don't like the idea of creating a character as a particular weight class and then changing him to something else (not healthy to eat or lose weight like that you know).

But I intend to hit level 7 fairly quickly with all of my guys so I'll live.

Thats what I'm going with. It sounds like SDs general message for this game is, even if your a noob, you're welcome here. So, theyll start everyone out with a well rounded body type, gun and skill base. From there, each person will have to grow into their playing style. Its not a bad formula when you get down to it. I'm still alittle uspet with a few aspects of the game but this "tree" type formula I'm all for.

Everyone starts out with a basic grunt and from there you branch out into your style. Hopefully (if its included) if you're not able to eventually unlock EVERYTHING for a single character..you should see a huge diversity in enemy combtants and styles.

Its my understanding that there are 9-11 class abilities so you can max out one class type / character but still alot of potential for variation with universal / dual class chars. Also I think that you can only have 3 active class abilities available at one time (not sure if you can change which 3 during a match or not).

Probably not, the invasion of the Orange Anger Light Operatives will take place somewhere between the 11th and the 17th I imagine.

Most people would start out as a certain type and always play as it, then when they switched they would think they were bad at the others.

I'll give an example. In bad company 2 I'm terrible at controlling helicopters... I'm the guy that gets it 20 feet off the ground and its already flipped upside down in a tree. Because I have nothing to do till brink, I decided to collect as many insignias and achievs as I could for some fun and wound up trying to get 50 helicopter kills. At the start I hated the choppers and couldn't keep one up in the air for more than 20 seconds.... 50 kills later, I could fly a helicopter through a 10meter ditch with tree's on both sides at full speed just to make a 90 degree turn and fly up to an objective then stop the thing on a dime and take the base from the air. I went from losing the chopper 20 seconds after takeoff to controlling one for most of the round.

Nope not at all.

Gives me more things to unlock, more things to look forward to.

Was planning on going with a medium soldier for my main so that could be part of the reason why it does not borther me.

I do want a light op and a heavy engineer but by that time my main will be at least level 7 so no worries for me.

Look on the bright side, when you do reach level 7 and can start your light op you will have some unlocks to use on him plus I think you will be able to give him exp from your medium.

But when you unlock a new body type, I'm pretty sure you can change your existing character to that size.

In between matchs or at the main menu you can switch your body type. It isn't something that is permanent on your characters.

Lvl 2 -Heavy
Lvl 3 -Light
Should be this way, just so u have to at least play one game before u can try soemthing else.
So, no, i do not like that you have to wait so long.
