Is anyone else NOT having frame rate problems?

Post » Thu Sep 10, 2009 2:46 pm

I'm not. In fact, it runs a lot better than some of the other multiplatform games I own. Yes, sometimes it dips down during the SP but not very often. The only instances it's dropped online is sometimes during the orbital blast and once my entire match was about 15 fps the entire match. That only happened once, though.

I do see some teleporting enemies once in a while online but that's connection lag, not frame rate.

Anyone else experience a fairly smooth running game?

Hmm... I'd actually like to see a video of that because mine runs perfectly fine 99% of the time.

I've also yet to experience any frame rate issues while playing this game.

I must just be slightly oblivious to this. What exactly does a low frame rate do to the quality of the game?

I have noticed lag and a juddering whilst moving forward but I put this down to momentary lapses in game play. The grenade leaves an echo when thrown **** like that really. I can't say that I am having quite such a bad time as some.

So, ignorance is probably bliss but what effect does a low frame rate have?

Runs fine for me, occasionally the game slows down when the orbital strike kicks in but nothing game breaking.

I do wonder if its somewhat TV/PS3 set up dependent. I'm temporarily working here in the US so I have only got a cheap old school tv and am not asking it to output in fancy HD but it still looks and plays gorgeously. I'm sure there are some genuine problems, but I'm inclined to believe that at least some of them could be improved by the users by tweaking their settings, reinstalling etc at their end. However, given the nature of many posts on these forums, I'm less convinced people have the inclination to try.

I also make sure nothing else is attached to my internet connection as I've noticed it can boost my ping by 1-2 bars just by disconnecting my laptop, even if it isn't actually doing anything but is just logged on to my wifi - my ps3 is hardwired in with a static IP and port forwarding.

I usually frame rate at Skyline in the glass houses. Orbital Strikes also make me frame rate, other than that, the game is fine and playable for the most part.

That's the same frame rate Drop I see. Also when you use cloak it drops but not drastically. You can still tell it slows down.
