anyone else notice this about the release date?

12/12/12? next year...unless you buy into that end of the world stuff.

I thought that wad 12/21/12?

It is 12/21/2012.

And no, 1 and 2 are not the same digit. The next time it will happen is exactly 100 years from Skyrim's release. There is no other date like it.

I find it funny how you guys are all going on about it being friday. Don't think it's importent compared to the date being 11.11.11. The date falling on a friday is a coincedence. In my oppinion they would have realesed it on a monday if that was the day which 11.11.11 fell on.. Just my oppinion tho :D

Well there is actually but not in our life time :P

But that is excactly why the game NEEDS to come out on time.. Think also thats why Todd was so enthusiastic about it. They will work their asses of to get it out on time i think. :D

i recall another reason they chose that date was so it would look like dragon language...

if you recall, the dragon markings are done with claws, basically... so they're mostly straight lines and dots, etc...

the way they show the date in the trailers is like this: | | . | | . | |

...well, the dots should be up a little higher, but i had to use periods, so... whatever.

pretty sure they said something about that, or someone did, anyway...

I remember someone posting this from an older post about this date but heres your fun little fact of the day.

11/11/11 is St. Martin's day, a holiday usually celebrated in northern Europe. Coincidence with Martin from Oblivion? Probably....

And the conspiracy is reborn

We'll drink to that! :celebration:

It's the only time that all (potentially) six digits of the calendar will be the same for another hundred years.

I'm starting to think that was why they waited so long...

Huh???

Do we skip the 12th of December next year???

like 90% of games are released on Tuesdays, and 11/11/11 is on a Friday, and i've never heard of a game released on a Friday.

11/11/11 would probably be the ship date. Vendors to receive on the following Tuesday.

It is 12/21/2012.

That's exactly what I said.

@SIRBOE No, the game will be in stores 11.11, not shipped on 11.11

You didn't pay attention to what he said. He said all the same digits, so it can only be 1s. And he said only six digits in total.
