I have nothing else connected to my Internet and I'm still suffering from poor connection. I tried another game and my connection was ok

It's not your connection, it's the host connection.

If the host of the match has piss poor internet, his connection with the match will be awesome, but your's will be poop.

Yeah I have some connection problems about every third or fourth game. It seems like the host will have a good connection and everyone else will be lagging. If you get out of the lobby and find a new game it seems to work better. If your NAT is moderate though, the game is so laggy it cannot be played.

yep everyone gets this, I recommend turning off voice, unplug your headset if you're using it, turn off your kinect if you have one. and you should see a slight improvement.

Also as there is no "good connection select" like some games have when searching for a match, you could find yourself in a game with 15 people from your country and the one person who gets picked as host will be on the other side of the world. Great for them, bad for the rest.

Something many of us Aussies have had to endure with getting an American host.

Seems the game often picks the person with the crappiest connection.

All I can suggest is everyone open their NATS like MS suggest. Problem is most players are clueless when it comes to the technical side of gaming.

Thing about NAT is it only affects what lobbies you can enter, it does not affect your connection once in a lobby. It could be that it only finds lobbies that are far away so opening up your NAT you may be more likely to find a match with a host that is closer.

They need to overhaul their matchmaking system and allow for search preferences for locale. I dont think I have been in a match yet where more than the host and maybe one other person have a four bar, the vast majority of matches is the host has four bar and the rest a mix of three, two and one bar connections or every third or fourth game host has four and the rest one.
